typical trade patterns after NPF. The more reasons we advocate not to trade on NPF day. it can actually be deadly. I blown up my account on NPF day before some yrs back. I don't trade NPF mostly anymore

1min chart is actually a good tf for trading NPF reactions because most times, the first move on release of data get reversed after some times but it is hard to note d actual spot. 1 min chart can give a hint

Why are we blaming NFP?

It was actually rallying and made a new high of the day.

Then North Korea happened lol.

Doesn't matter, I added longs. First target 113.80, next 114.

i prey and hope that it was due to the NK threat (weird sentence lol). the more test scares, the older it because, markets become more used to it and the pullbacks should be more predictable.

And what if it didn't pullback?

Expect the unexpected and just trade what does happen. Not what the news is and what the talking heads tell us to expect.

Buy the dip? The low on H4 bar took out the previous 5 bars low. IMO there of course will be a pop but then most likely much lower.

UJ dropped 50 pips in 2 mins while missile was still in the air during the last time(sept 14/Sept 15) till it landed safely.The total flight time was just 6 mins.

If the drop was due to NFP, I would agree with you. But it was because of North Korea.
