All of these indicators look great on a chart and look very profitable until you try to use it. Good luck and for me a naked chart is simplicity at it's finest. Post your results

Hi, i've read through Peter's pdf. That's very good, and it's what Mr Pip taught.

The difficulty is having emotional control when trading. There's too many temptations LOL.

For example:
1) waiting until AOI
2) waiting until rotation
3) do no trade when the retracement swing is strong
4) do not trade against expectations

Hi everyone,

Please can someone take a look at this short.

Prediction was NSL in short term and intraday was also bearish. After fat bearish candle decided to jump in. Got stoped out but is this trade was logical or i miss read something?

Price made a NSL at 17:08 but NOT at 9 am

Expectation is still a NSL, however your main swing starts from the swing on the top left so price can correct as deep as that

so you didn't read it wrong, but your SL should be above the main swing that i just mentioned

My STL was at line 1, you mean it should be at line 2?

I've been re-watching some of Damian's videos on his youtube channel and I just wanted to say thankyou for your incredible generosity in sharing your time and insight.

I've been thinking about the relationship between long term and short term order flow - it seems to me that there has to be a failure in the short term expectation in order for the long term to play out - i.e as the retracement in the long term order flow comes to an end the short term expectation in the order flow of that retracement must fail for price to reverse. So my question is does the long term expectation also play out 70% of the time?

USDJPY Analysis

Intraday: NSL

- Price made a weak NSL in the first hour of market open

Expectation: Too early to trade so will look for that deep correction for an opportunity to enter

Longterm: NSH

- Market is overall bullish
- Will go with intraday expectations

The top blue arrow on the top left is where your SL should be.

SL at 1 & 2 is arguable because you didn't want to risk much and you put it above each structure but it's risky to do that

Your SL should ALWAYS be above your main swing and the only main swing that i see here is the one on the left where your arrow is

It depends on which order flow you are trading (see screenshot below)

I agree with Mr. Pip! I used to create my own indicators, and had dozens of them filling up my chart, so that I missed price entirely. :-)

For what it's worth, any calculation based on price will be one deviation away from price. The more calculations you make against price to produce the indicator, the more deviations away from raw price you get. That begins to bring in lag to your charts/trading, no matter how small the deviation(s) might be. It's up to you to decide whether it is acceptable or not. Is it getting you into good trades too late? Bad trades too often? Etc. etc. Back test is key! :-)

Hi Damian,
I watched the last two live recordings and we basically said that we play the expectation that we have (in our trading time frame,) and that we use the short term order flow to ''adjust'' this expectation.We also said that we identify the support resistance levels (short term, on our trading time frame) to lock profit and expect where price may or not find sup/resist.
My question is :
Why we identify the zones of supply and demand (the big ones that should crunch our screen or go to a bigger time frame) since we play the short term order flow and the price may do a 10-20 point move in that big zone that we have identified?

I opened this trade yesterday but did not have a chance to post it as I was out all day. it has gone back and forth on me but still alive. I have adjusted the SL since price made a weak NSH to below the most recent main swing.
