Hi folks

Seems like most of pairs are still in correction phase. Patiently wait to trend develop to be traded until the end of this year.

For now, opening in tuesday seems like more profitable, eventhough open basket in monday is more profitable this week. However beware of wednesday or thursday reversal.

1. Fixed issue with vBasketHours. vBasket would stop working if you set the vBasketHours that it was supposed to stay on.

2. Made an adjustment to the separate hours. since many of you want to have open hours every one minute this would cause the EA to no pay attention to any of the hours after the first one due to the short 1 minute interval that is also used by the EA to determine that the open hour has passed and no more baskets are to be opened. Remember this feature was added for news trading events. These events happen hours between each other not minutes and by the time a new news event happens the previous basket has to be already closed. Made an adjustment to see if the one minute mark will now work.

Remember the EA will only open new baskets when there are no open baskets. The separate hours feature was not intended so that you could open basket upon basket at each new hour you designate.

One question about the profit lock option. If you take a look at my screenshoot. With those settings, it means that once I am 100 pips up in the basket, it will protect 50%?

Hello Coco , no way ...your profitlock will never trigger .... You have set to 0.00 .... you should set to ...50.0 or maybe 100/200.0 ....so when in profit 100.0 pips
your basket lock 50% of this which means 50.0 pips ...then ..the next step you selected ...wahen Basket reach profit an additional 100.0 pips ( because 100.0 already locked) ..so when basket reach 200.0 pips another lock will be set at 50% of THIS ...200 pips*50% ...so basket lock will be 100.0 pips ...Amigo , si no entiendes te ayudo PM me ...

Yep just as https://cdn-assets.forexfactory.net/...ar146878_1.gif stefdek Pointed out you need to set a START PROFIT LOCK setting.. ya gotta tell the EA when to start locking,
and yes if you leave the setting at 50 that means 50% of the profit is protected. So every time you get to a NEW step (or more profit)
the EA will protect 50% of it. You can change the 50% to 80% that way the profit lock is closer but still with breathing room as your equity grows.

What are people's values for currencies at present? Im not confident the indicator is updating correctly or the data behind it (have used the data load script but hasnt helped)
USD = 7
EUR = 2
GBP = 10
AUD = 2
NZD = 10
CAD = 10
CHF = 10
JPY = 10

Pretty much stayed like this for a week

I will start testing 15 baskets nex week, using daily and weekly approach, trading at london and new york sessions. I will post results here.
When it comes to weekly and daily baskets I can honestly say that I've tested hundreds and hundreds of various combinations of settings over the last 5 months. Some have been terrible and not good at all, some have worked on and off inconsistently, and some have proved to be pretty good and consistent over time.

What I have learned during this time is that this is no holy grail system and there is no such thing, but the CFFp strategy does work, and its been proven many many times by members in this thread. Also another thing I've learned is that complicating and modifying this strategy doesn't make it better, or make you more pips. I've learned that the idea of K.I.S.S. is what gets you results. I was testing settings with 6-10 baskets on 1 chart and its doesn't work as well as a simple 1-2 basket 1 chart system.

It's funny looking back how I was testing all kinds of weird and funky set ups looking for a holy grail setting and now after 5 months of testing I'm back to 1-2 basket set ups. So a word of advice to the new comers an testers is keep things simple, you don't need 10-20 baskets to make it work, it only takes 1-2 and you can make just as many pips trust me.

Personally for me the most consistent set up has been a simple, W1, L2-4, TF or FF, MA 3/5, open on a Monday and close on a Friday setting. Set a TP and SL based on your account size and risk management you prefer and let it do its thing. Yes not every week will be profitable but no system is, but over the long term you can make a good steady income of pips using this simple effective strategy.

This month I made 3085 pips using a simple 1-2 basket setting, and only this week it closed in a small loss, but the previous 3 weeks it closed in a nice profit. Am I happy with 3000 pips for 1 month? Hell yes! Making 3000 pips using a strategy that does not need to much monitoring is incredible and I'll take that any day!

So keep things simple, don't over complicate something that works great as it already is, and make those green pips!
