For July he had 9 wins out 11 trades = 82% winners. Keep your position size constant and you should make a few bucks for the month.

There are some limitations to this TS [No Signals.]
As VT cannot base calculations on a Handrawn Trendline, it requires that theInformation for the Base Trendline be gathered first before it can processthe numbers.

Therefore:
Price Projection.
Calculated as POINT 'A' - Lowest Low between Point 'A' and Point 'B'.
Not the Maximum Deviation From the Base Trendline.
This will result in the Targeted Pip Gain being Slightly Smaller. [Err on the side of Caution]

When the criteria for a Nose Bar has been met, it will place a Dot
Above the Last Bar of The Formation. This means the Dot will Appear 2 Bars After the Nose.

The Trendline Extension will be Based on connecting the Highs 2 Bars Before The Dots.

The User has the Choice of leaving it as a 2 Bar High or changing that to Level 3,4 or whatever...
The User has the Choice of leaving it as Plotting every time the Criteria is met or with a Minimum Number of Bars between Dots.

There are a couple of additional outputs added. If you don't like them, Ignore them.

"IF" I get around to it I will look at the stop loss and possibly add it to the code.

Remember! I know this is not an Exact reproduction of the strategy.

The Code will be Posted in the VT Forum New Ind & Sys.

Not sure, but I think it does because:

The point marked A1 would have been the original low with with two higher lows on either side.

As time progressed A2 is now the most recent low with two higher lows on either side.

Point B is still the next most recent low, working right to left, with higher lows on either side that meets the criteria of the demand line sloping upward.

Actually A3 would be the most recent point to draw from.

So, does that mean another short could have been opened when the demand line drawn to A2 was broken, and if the demand line draw to A3 is broken, yet another? Intersting.

It doesn't matter where this strategy came from or what it is called. The fact of the matter is that YOU are sharing your knowledge and are generously giving of your time and talent to help many of us to finally see some results.

Please don't let the negatives stop you from continuing to share with us. I appreciate what you have brought us here. I have paid a lot of money for courses from so-called expert traders that are really crap based on lagging indicators.

I am a musician, I don't compose music myself, but I can play and implement just about any song you can throw at me. Same with you, whether you are the author of this strategy or not, that fact is that you have the talent to relay it to those of us who have been struggling with Forex, and maybe now, see some light at the end of the tunnel.

Than you again for your generousity in sharing you knowledge. I look forward to hearing more from you.

Hi guys, new buy signal base on mouteki is on GBP/USD shortly after FOMC news release so I presume no big news will be expected afterward. Will this mean its a good time to buy?

Well, not sure is it a good time, but I followed the signal and bought it. Currently -22 pips but feel more confident now after mouteki posted his stop loss strategy

I was in it earlier today when the first candle opened outside of the supply line, I moved my stop when I was near up 40 pips to guarantee 10 pips, now my stop has been hit, the new candle isn't really an entry candle though

U mean while you was long GBP/USD and u was in Profit +40 , u Move Ur SL To +10... Then Price back and ur stop hit and exit with +10 Right!

IMHO

I think its only A1 and A2, A3 looks incorrectly draw. As low of A3 looks higher than low of A2. But still we need answer? Also, we need to know how far back to look for the second point.

I longed on the same candle you longed on, hoping that was a retrace and it is going to go back up. But I based my price projection and stops on the previous candle, that was the actual entry candle. That candle didnt quite get to +40 pips profit, so thats why i believe the trade is still valid.

Target: 1.9053 (I took into account the spread)

Allen.Benjamin, I think you moved your stop to early...it didnt quite get to +40 pips, this is technically still a valid trade. But you never know, your mistake might make you profitable

Hello,
I did manual backtest of July 2006, total pips came to +193 on GBP/USD.
I used Neuimex Trading Terminal Metatrader 4 demo.

Looks good.

We are currently long the Pound...As allen benjamin stated, you may have moved your stop to 10 pips profit at the spike up this morning. Personally I did because I expected the FOMC statement to cause dollar strengh. If you are still long here it is...Maxey this is is response to your post...Hope it helps my friend...

How did you get +193 and Mouteki got like +996 or something like that

Maxey, you are correct I was up around 40 and moved my stop to lock in at least 10 pips, so I made out with 10 when it retraced on me....nipthepips, I entered the trade about 5 minutes late as I was away from my computer right at 12pm est., when I got back I was able to secure a better entry price of about 10 pips, so I got a little lucky, but you are right, if I entered right at 12pm est I would still be in the trade
