I didn't see banks today! Retailers did the job. Small amount of orders filled, now they just pulling rope back and forth. My guess is to retest of 1917 is possible. Which would be good place to sell. Almost like they wait to put final dot. Breaking below 18 will open road to 1716-1690 which is big STOP without changing direction, so I want to see that first before considering any buy orders. Let's wait till the end of the day and we will figure what to expect tomorrow and next week. This week technical playing well.

1875 hit and 1868 was close. Technically, since the news came out, we are on HH and LL. Still no great direction either way, but need 1868 to break now to look for chance of LL back to 1850. This is the lower timeframe analysis. Larger TF we are basically flat since yesterday.

Great post! How did you know the retailers did it and it wasn't the institutional or hedging funds traders?

Could it be because there was no staying power in the original move letting us know big money was not behind it? And price has flopped around with no direction since.

Oh, you are totally sure that Big Dogs hit the market only with huge size volumes... ok ...I call that folklore, common thinking ...doesn't matter anyway as long we are on the right direction

a breach of 1.1822 will bring some more bears out I suspect...but I'll take a flyer there perhaps on a washout , but also err on selling against Rs next week, otherwise the bulls still have a leg to stand on short term...that's my read..bbl, gl, PTL

Standard for me is 20 pips away (Long & Short) from prevailing price 2 - 4 minutes before news release. I'm aware price usually does its up and down movement, so TP is set to just 10 pips each side. So, caught 20pips from it.

My un-educated guess! He may be watching futures volume and comparing it to previous days or past to determine lower volume behind the move than normal. Not sure how he determined, but waiting for the reply....

I don't know! I am assuming. By retailers I meant anyone but big banks( including hedge funds)Usually banks creating liquidity it reflects in fast spikes to or from levels. Rest of the job doing market participants. Maybe quick drop down was banks. I don't know.
