There was a little extra added to the pot as I entered early on these as they left the Supply Zone.

I haven't had the time to check the others on the Watch-List but will update on that when I get back on later.

On the B*A*D-Trade, I wasn't actually that keen. It had just moved long with some strength and the call would have been to go short but there were contrarian calls from lower tf charts hinting at some resistance to that.

However, as I was well up on the day, I decided I could afford a little risk.

Got the +5% on the WZ Short into the body and got out as soon as it touched. As it turns out, I think it went on to make at least +10 and is hanging around not doing much of anything as I write this. Don't care, I got my jam...

Most common range is 10 pips so probably too volatile for the WZ. That seems to favour the big bars that are hard to overcome

I find it dam near impossible to accurately do a visual backtest of wick zone trades as it takes advantage of the random flashes in price

Yeah, I'd agree - without even having to do the legwork you have done. I find that even the AU 04:00 bar can push things, so the 15min is tough...unless possibly if it were backed by S+D Zones.

So this S+D stuff is the real mccoy huh?

Ill be honest when i first heard of sam sneidens work early in my trading discoveries i discarded it completely, especially the rules to finding the levels manually being so complicated it lost me instantly

Isit worth a second look?

Thanks for input. all you said is taken into consideration. That is why i can trade bad trades. I can look to counter, wait for next days trading, look for 04-00 and Daily even look at inside bars... thanks again

whip is a killer especially a couple of hours after open. we just need the big push on/after open. whip is minimal if at all and can be played. I am only testing the 08-00 bar but i am looking into having more than one trade per day as they sell well. Most people could not handle trading once per day.

i traded a lot off the 07-45 bar even compounding, like Claudia said many times, orders are being filled at 08-00 so we will get the moves. maybe we are looking with different eyes/approach and i am only looking at Cable.. time will tell with the trial.

So if I'm correct in my thinking......you are using the M15 bar from 08-00 to 08-15 as your breakout bar / triggers..........and you start trading at the 8-15 M15 bar? Are you going to have any minimum requirements for range size? Are you going to use a buffer ever for entry? Is this new strategy only for GU or are there other pairs you are looking at? Sorry for all of the questions Billy.

Hi Bo hope you are ok. The above is correct.
Looking at it. the range can be low at times so i will take caution and see how it goes,
i will always have counter to fall back on. i am only trading Cable.
the more consistent approach is to trade off the 04-00 bar, but i learned a few new things from that Lady and tring it out.
I may even progress to US open lol. and no buffer

I'm no guru on it. I use a solid indi that does all the legwork. I can see the zones manually but why do the work if you don't have to, lol.

I think I have said somewhere before, that Hanover coded a variant with more bells-and-whistles that I have but never use. The one I post here does all I need it to.

It's just a tool, like all things. I use it in conjunction with overall PA but I do find it very useful for fine-tuning entries that come outside of the usual 'trade-a-line' approach. You'll see this today on my DZ pick, where although I was looking at the DZ, I entered the trades early based on the S+D. I guess it's the equivalent of Billy's going in early on momentum...it just gets you a little extra sauce.

Trying to watch a replay of Tennessee and Georgia Tech game while doing this at the same time...not...very...easy...lol. What a game. Double overtime. Poor kicker for GT ultimately cost them the game. I'm neutral on it, so don't care - just a great game.

Anyway...The Dead Zone.

It was either hit-it-big or miss-it-completely today. Those that triggered went on to big returns, while the others didn't even trigger.

The full line-up from the Watch-List ended up like this:
AU - Never triggered short. Went into a clean long move.
UNok - All good.
GU - Another no trigger. Another clean out the other side.
CJ - This moved from a long into a short bias as the day progressed. Dunno' how it would have played live.
NU - Big hitter long.
NJ - Took a while but the surf move came eventually.
UJ - Never triggered - went into a clean short.
OIL - Ditto. No trigger, then into a break long instead.
US500 - Well, what can I say. Turned out not too shabby at all, lol.

Before I go - just to update the B*A*D Trade and to say that done vanilla, it would have eventually gone on to bag the +5% on a less-than-enthusiastic break North. Still, it got there.
