"Due to the structure of th code the EA has to stop the timer in order to execute important steps like opening trades. The EA then will start up the timer after those operations are done."

Nope, leave the timer because timer interrupts are ignored when the current process is in the "active" state.
No need to stop it.

Using Multiple Charts with betas


Many of you are using several charts on the same broker with the beta EAs.
By using the beta EAs on several charts on the same broker you are defeating the original purposes of the betas.

With v37.7.7 and before we had to open several charts each with a basket and EA attached to it. This caused several issues that had to do with time lag between the charts. in addition the memory requirement went up as you had to have a separate EA on each chart. Imagine having to loop thru every second on 40 EAs all at the same instant. In that one loop at least 70 operations are conducted each time.

So the Betas were created whereby now you only had to place the EA on 1 chart. The chart itself can contain many baskets. This reduced the amount of memory required and the number of operations went way down.

However, many of you have decided to use the Beta in a similar fashion as we had for the previous versions. Namely Multiple Eas on multiple charts.

So basically we are back to the same issues that were being seen with the previous versions.

This is also another reason you may be seeing freezing of the charts and missed open/closed trades.

So what can we do about this?? The next modification would be to be able to add all those multiple charts(with different EA settings) on the same chart. So that once again we can get the memory usage down and make it a faster smoother operating EA. But If that were to be done I would not doubt that someone in the future would again place it on several charts and try to run 1000 baskets LOL.

Just want you to be aware of what the possible causes of the issues you are dealing with might be.

xmess - Appreciate your EA versions. Each is better than the previous one.

Will you be able to add time server and gmt time too to dispay.

It will be great if duration since basket open is also present.

I have made changes to the timer and somw vBasket code.

1. timer- the EA will run on continuous 1 second timer.. lets see if this helps avoid the set timer() mt4 bug

2. Made adjustments to vBasket. Lets see if this corrects some of the vBasket issues.

Note: item 1 is not asolution to the nultiple EA on multiple charts issue we spoke about earlier

August has been a good trading month thus far.
There is absolutely no reason to say that you should not trade during the holidays.

Made adjustments to the profitlock logic....
function was tested on separate dedicated EA and worked properly. Have not tested this in the EA.

Anyone had this happen before? I have 7 MT4s running and this is the only time I've ever seen this happen, very strange.

yeah jess you're right ,,, but you know what is like ....
the more spaces gains in cpu and in terms on mt4 charts and the more tests can be made _
i have tried a few combinations but i am comfortable with 6 Multi Baskets BEAT version each Mt4 and on one Computer i got 4/5 Mt4
so I can load 25-30 Multi Baskets Beta which is roughly 90-100 Ccfp-df .. that seems to be normal stuff and most of us Mad do that ...
Use to freeze when i had 8-16 Gb Ram then changed to 32 ....
Almost the same but it is the Mt4 problem not to manage loading many pairs at once its normal ....
so if i open at 1 min distance from each basket it is fine

if you load the tpl of the normal ccfp-dash slope indicator then my set up will be there, but you can change the tf by clicking on them
and need to enable the m.off / m.on at the bottom right .. see it ?

yeah true ,,,, Iam goig to Thailand half september and will be back with more stuff
i am gonna do a bit different this time, will buy a hub 3 ports so can view 3 screens from one laptop
and each screen can be set up to view a different Mt4 ... then yes i can put Gvc too _

As we are now approaching the end of the month I am considering to start monthly trading (live) in September. I guess a lot of you guys are also waiting September to start and start trading the monthly signals. I will trade with the GVC dashboard with the following indicator settings (Monthly, L2/L5/L7/L10, TF/FF/FT/TT).Now I am hesitating a little bit on the day of the month to start, as the first day of September is on a Friday together with the release of NFP numbers. So I am thinking to start on next Monday 9:00 am GMT.

How about you guys, what will you use:
1. System (Xmess, FXM, GVC)
2. Indicator settings
3. Day of the month

For your information Forexpinbar is using the GVC dashboard, with (L2-L10, TF/FF/FT/TT). You can look at his TE for his results, which are pretty impressive. My only worry is that my Live account only has ~$1200 and it cannot handle the drawdown. For Forexpinbar's EA settings please see https://www.forexfactory.com/showthr...7#post10175487

My weekly results for this week was really bad. I got SL at 2000 pips. I assume the reason is that the markets are now Risk Off because of the North Korea situation. Do you guys experience the same as well? I am using Xmess EA with (W,L5-L10, FT/FF/TF).

Looking forward to share some positive results on the monthly trading. Green pips to you all.

Hi xmess7,

first of all thank you for the invaluable tool you gave us.

Today, to avoid "cannot set timer (1)" error I shifted to new beta_43 release of your EA- It happened that it opened the basket with VB set to true before reaching the set threshold. In the display I see a huge amount in Highest Pip Gain, so this can be the issue. Any hint how I can get rid of it ?

Hi jess, I have attached the excel logs and basket trades taken that I used to trade and the profit lock is there. I also have the trades taken and showed in the images. Not sure if these infos are enough for you.
