The issue is that I trade futures directly off a DOM. As I'm sure you know the prices that are revealed on MT4 through any broker will not match futures prices. Which is why I'm leading to create this software that draws chart data directly from my futures platform. Any ideas to program it externally?

Java is OK. Another approach is to build it with HTML5.
For Windows desktop apps the best language is C#.

It's nice to have your own independent app, and to be able to connect it to brokers/ API of your choice. But it's not easy to code from scratch!
For now the easiest option is to adapt the fibo grid for MT5. I already converted some of my systems to MQL5. The new DFG-360 for MT5 is coming soon... with more features.

As you know MT5 supports exchange trading (futures, stocks.....).

And in theory you can use the front end of mt4/mt5 only as a base. And feed it with external price data from source of your choice.

Currently you only able to do so if your broker offers FIX API. Or do you able to use your own client with the encrypted MT4 terminal <-> MT4 server communication to fake a MT4 client? I guess not, if so you would not build such indicator/ea inside of MT4 terminal.
To code a communication between MT4 and an own system is easy, to design a good protocol that fit all needs is the challenge. And be aware you gain nothing because the weakest point in the whole chain remains the MT4 and so you will not get a multithread or multi currency system at all.

Yeah sure, JavaScript, .NET and some other things may be necessary.

By "independent app" , I mean getting rid of MT4 completely. So yes, FIX is the best way to connect your app to the broker.
It's also a good indication if your broker offers FIX in the first place. Typically only the more professional shops offer FIX connection.

With HTML5 its possible to create amazing modern web apps, and the best thing is that you can run the app from anywhere on any operating system. All you need is a browser.
The biggest downside is that the web apps tend to consume more resources (CPU, RAM..). So you need powerful PC and fast internet.

The blue line is daily open price.
The red is daily high and the green is daily low.
In the upper left corner of each cell you can see 2 numbers. The first shows the daily range (high - Low) the second show the daily change (Bid-Open)
These values are shown in standard FX pips or ATR points. 1 ATR point = Daily ATR(20)/100.
The default setting is FX pips.

If you select ATR points, then ALL distances in the system are converted to ATR points. This includes the vertical scaling of the grid, the spread, SL/TP.....everything.

Regarding the Trading rules and strategies - that's up to you! Observe the grids during the trading sessions and notice the different patterns.

Most of the time you have to look for trades in the direction of the overall trend.
It's very important to look for strong movements first. Look for momentum and open positions on pullbacks.

For example, if all arrows(ma's) are green and you see the typical trend formation pattern, then wait for RSI to drop below 50-40 and Buy. Exit on new high. Or apply trailing stop.....

For contrarian trades it's best to look for overbought/oversold market. RSI >70 or <30 on at least 3 time frames. Wait for the price to move away form the arrows and try to open positions at the daily high or low. Exit for 10-20 points.

At first aim for BE or a few points on most trades until you get the entries right. Then try to improve the exits.

This is a great tool. Made 50 pips. Hope to be able to use this on a live account. Very easy to use once you understand the basics.

The moving averages for each time frame are: 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233 EMA.

Strange this latest version will work on my demo mt4 but not on my live account. Comes up as being loaded onto chart in top right corner but nothing is showing.?? Is there some way this gets disabled on live account ??

Latest demo up and running on my demo account but will not load on my live account. I there a reason for this or is it my stuff up. Do I need any of the older files which came with the earlier model?

For now only limited demo/beta version is available.

For the official release of the complete Live version you will have to wait a bit. (And prepare 10 000 dollars in cash )
