No not quite like that.

You see currently when you select one OpenGMTHour or 5 or whatever number of separate hours.
You are telling the EA to check in that ONE instance the list.

So if u only have One OpenGMTHour then the EA will check the LIST ONLY that one time and no more.
So the basket will remain as is until either TP or SL or you close it.

If you input separate openGMTHours(xx,xx,xx,xx,...etc) You are telling the EA to look at each of those hours and to see what is on the list..

Once the EA has the list it then goes thru the different filter you have selected, AllowDuplicates, AllowOpposites, BBsqueeze, 3CandleTest, TradeTransferLevel etc.
It then creates a smaller list afther the filters have been applied. Then that list is opened as a real basket.

Again nothing is done by the EA until the Tp/SL or you manually close the basket.


HOWEVER if u enter the OpenGMTHour as a range (xx-xx) then the EA will continuously look at the baskets during that time.
At the moment I do not recommend that this be used cause the logic will not work properly. You are liable to have a HUGE basket cause the EA will continously keep adding trades since the filters and logic are not changing and telling the EA to either buy or sell.


Your idea is not new... someone had already proposed it and when we made it work he decide that it was not effective and we removed it.
I may add it but be sure that it will add confusion cause now the range hours will have many implications and if you do not know how that portion works
it will cause confusion. ... I'll see what can be done....

But for sure expect the range hours (xx-xx) to be supported by the BBsequeze,3CandleTest.
Once it is operating the end affect will be that the basket will be created gradually over days, hence this will be used for a monthly trade setup just like ForexPinBar is doing.

The biggest difference between what he is doing with GVC and this setup is that in this setup you will only need to set it up on One Chart instead of several charts.
This allows your machine to work faster and more accurately. Cause as you guys know some of your machines cannot handle the memory usage of 20 baskets that are run by 20 EAs. That also causes room for lag which leads to errors or missed closing etc etc

From what I have seen your reverse button works perfectly.
The EA picks up on the reverse cause when you click on it the suggestion is changed, right?

So EA was FALSE and Indi-Ccfp was at REVERSE / If that makes sense to me, a reverse cannot be traded_ It's normal
because the EA it is a Reader of the Indicator Ccfp-diff_
Then you say you put the EA to REVERSE and it reversed them all and not only the EurJpy as you wanted_
That's okay too understood , so now xmess made a new option thanx to you and we will be able to try it only on Monday, but what you said

Before this last beta the EA did not take into consideration any reversals that the indicator had picked.
IT just reversed whatever it saw on the list.

Now you can either have the EA do nothing to the list
or
Reverse ALL of the suggestions, whatever you see with your eyes on the chart will be reversed when a trade is opened by the EA
or
Have the EA detect what the indicator has picked to reverse, it looks for that little yellow symbol that is at the end of the suggestion.
all those yellow symbols will have the suggestion you SEE reversed when a real trade is activated.

As for the FXMadness indicator, I don;t think it affects it in anyway.
IF u leave the REverse Input at NONE then whatever you SEE on the suggestion will be the trades operation
Remember with the FXmadness indi you can click on the check mark and it will automatically reverse the text that you see on the chart.

Thanks jenbols, it's very interesting to read back over 9 years ago how traders were using this CCFp strategy and what they were doing. It seems things were more simple back then, and I think we can learn a few things by going back to the original theory and CCFp strategy. Over the years and months many things have changed and it seems some have complicated a simple and still very effective strategy.

I'm busy reading that thread from page 1 to see how the guys were using the CCfp indicator back then, an get some fresh inspiration that will hopefully clear some new (old) ideas of how it was used successfully so many years ago. Awesome.

Clicking on the green tick will change the tick in a red cross and set the buy/sell direction to not and visa versa eliminating that pair.
Clicking on the green buy or red sell symbol (just behind the tick will only reverse that pair and visa versa.

Then the updating will start automatically. but once a basket is auto locked you can not change the direction or de-selected any pair anymore.

yes friend, that thread is the Bible for the Ccfp-diff Indi ...
I made my first templates for Ccfp-df in Nov 2016 and it was something new for me..
My Best Thanx really to Ferrux as i think he dislike people who don't read thread
and because of him i read it all and kept notes one by one, plus one by one tested all Ccfp-df from 1.03 till the V0.2
such interesting stuff .. but more interesting is to actually open the first made ccfp-df and see inside Indi paramaters what changed ,,, and then compare wth Ccfp-df we have now _
then jess made this so easy by allowing us to trade in Auto .... So beautiful indeed

Yep, as long as the user sets the EA reversal=NONE then when using the the FxMadnessindi, the EA will just look at whatever is on the suggestion list and use that as the signal to trade the pair...

Many thanks for the clear answer. I agree that at some point the EA could open too many positions. That is fine when everything is positive, however if one pair started to reverse the loss will be much more significant. Sometimes it is better to be satisfied with what you have rather than to be too greedy.

Just got back into town, long drive from Houston, and I'm playing catch-up. I would love to go back in time and read the original ferrux thread. Did a search on the ferrux ccfp bible, but no luck. Can you help me out here?

He put different names for each version so traders won't have headache recognizing which one was it, wise thing to do

The rest of the thread is about people experimenting and making some new types of improved Ccfp ..
but when i say Ccfp i mean the one original with the line whether the Ccfp-diff is the Ferrux one with the levels displayed, in fact

In my opinion indicator FxMadness an absolute favorite this week and this month. I have no idea why test a few baskets simultaneously. This to me is a waste of time. To understand, you have established a relationship between different settings 2-3 weeks or 2 -3 months. CCFp W1 and CCFp MN have a strong enough signal. Very few must be filtered for less DD. If things are tested individually, a much clearer picture visible. I hope it will save a lot of time and work of many people. And I hope something helps you both to me helped me: Husky77, jenbols,...

Well Chau1985 you are in luck. I took a look at the code and guess what?? The function to do the very thing you mention is still there. I didn't erase it.
In fact if you set your OPenGMThour as a range XX-XX the EA will do just as you described. IT will monitor to see if the ccfp-diff list had any pair FLIP it's original suggestion. IF there is a change then the EA will close the open trade and change it to what the new suggestion shows, which would be the opposite.

Now, don't go using the range hour yet.. I have to work on the logic a little more. Besides I would think that you would want the EA to monitor all the time instead of a short range for the flips right? So let me code that into the mix. I think I may call it MonitorOperationFlips.
