We have to wait for a bar to open below the demand line...which it might not do. Any other Potential currency pair trade setups that someone is following? Please post. Thank you.

Simple as that?

Point 2 in a demand line has to be lower, even if there are other points the fulfill the criteria set forth that appear before the useable point 2?

Hi all,

I have a question for the traders here using this system,

If I saw say 2 setups one on GBP/USD and one on EUR/USD if i took both these trades I think i am doubling my risk as the pairs tend to follow each other.

Im I correct in thinking this?

If so what pairs should i place together that tend to follow each other so i dont end up with 2 loosers instead of 1.

Yes that's correct. From Mouteki 4 hour trendline doc " To find the second point of the demand line we look for the very next point of supporrt that has two candles to the left and two to the right that do not exceed the low of the support point. "

It's quite hard to tell from the slide, but it appears to me....

If you had used point 1 where you outlined it in the circle, you would still end up using the same vertical line to determine your profit target since it was the highest before the break. You'll see that this would have been a much shorter range to target and would probably been met where he actually placed point one. Does that make sense?

Not only that, but you are always working the chart from right to left. If Mouteki always waited until, for example Tuesday, before making a trade then the point 1 in his slide would be the correct point to go off of since it's the closest to the right that meets the criteria.

If I remember correctly, Moutekitrader mentioned that he plots TLs on Mondays and then looks for a trade on Tuesdays. Perhaps it may be better to wait until Tuesday before taking trades.
Remember also that Mouteki is in Greece. Tuesday begins in 1.5 hours for him.

Interesting take Hagbard,

The slide that I posted is one of Mouteki's from his word document, so I'm just trying to get a feel for the process that he follows since there seems to be a bit of subjectivity here.

I agree with what you said about waiting until tuesday - he does say he likes to let mondays be to set up his trades for the rest of the week. That could be the key in itself.

Hi Guys,

If you have read the entire thread then you know I have been following it with interest.

I had a few questions at the outset which appeared to be a deviation from the thread and therefore were either not answered or asked.

I did recognize Some Similarity to TD TLs But also that the esscence was similar to an Andrews Pitchfork. {Similar I said.}

So far, I have been unable to code a true Mouteki for VT but I have been somewhat succesfull in a 3 x hybrid. TD, Andrews & Mouteki.

TD allows for Level > 1,2 ...5 Support Resistance {Demand Supply} which counts the number of bars Before AND After the "Nose"

Doesn't appear the link is 'Hot' just copy/paste addy

Mouteki {imo} is restricted to 4hr charts because a 5 bar Nose shows up way too often in lower timeframes. So I added a Minimum Bars Between Points Input.

Demand must be Upslope. Supply....

So now we have these choices...
1) # of Bars Precedeing and Subsequent to Nose.
2) # of Bars Between Points
3) Choice of applying Supply or Demand Or Both to any given market.
{ I found applying Supply to an Uptrending Market just took up Screen and CPU reserves}

When I combine these 3 systems and overlay it in VT on one of the systems I have been using for quite some time, I get a very nice comfort level of Entry, Hold or Exit.

btw. Notice that it is a 5 min chart.

What do u guys think about this pair. This is almost exactly the formation that Mouteki had on his trade in the first essay on trend lines. But on the four hr. chart, the candle has crossed back over the trendline. Should I liquidate or hold out because it is hitting serious uptrend resistance at around 1.8800.
