I have entered trades using manual Dash Fibo Manager, but the trade isn't entered into xm_weekly_monitor. How can it be entered into EA so that I can trail-stop there?

Evening Embry1,

I noticed that your daily basket is scheduled to open GMT 07:05. That would be 02:05 my time in Texas, or 5 minutes after the LO. How long do you normally leave the four baskets open to work? Your TP is 2000 pips, but assuming it isn't reached before the NY session opens, do you allow the basket to continue?

In order for the EA to detect trades you need to have the following done to your EA..

1. Take note of the magic number you entered in the xm7 ccfp monitor EA
2. Apply that same magic number to the your own EA for the trades it will monitor
3. In your EA code have it look for the magic number and in the comments have it look for "_magicnumber_". Make sure that if the magic number is less than 10 that it has a 0 in front of it in the comment. for example if the magic number is 4 then you will need to look for "_04_" in the comments() of the trade.

You can use this code in your EA to do this very thing.
_xm7_magicnumber = numberic magic number, 1,2,... ,9,10, 11 etc
_xm7_magicnumber_str = string magic number 01,02,03...,09,10,11 etc (notice that the numbers less than 10 start with a 0)

Just saw this after Tokyo so did a fast setup, didn't look at anything just clicked Open Basket, already had my Tokyo FIFO running so interested in an albeit late start head to head.
Congratulations Embry1, on the first test head to head basis ... haha ... you definitely have a winner for TO as well, even discounting the NZ flash
Looked at the $ and then realised that if you trade in Demo Lots the same way as Live you missed out on a little bonus News Flash

Folks:
Several bug fixes on these.

1. DailyClose hour had an issue and would not close the basket at the indicated hour. There was a mixup in the code that would set IgnoreAllCloseHour=true. FIXED

2. "Hours vBasket remains operating" was not working. Turns out I had switched the current time with the vbasket trigger time. Fixed

3. "Show Max Min vBasket Pip Gains" when set true did nothing. Sorry about, I had the code in place but it was commented out. Fixed

I recommend everyone download these cause the bugs have to do with closing out baskets and that means the the older versions have this bug in them. Yes even if you already have a copy of beta29 please download it again.

I am sure there were a couple more issues but these where the main ones that affected those....

Beta 29

I want to add that these capabilities are available for beta 29

You can now enter 3 ways the GMTOpenHour.
1. single hour example: 11:00. EA will look to open a basket at the hou
2. As a range: example 11:00-20:00 EA will look during that range of hours to add trades to the basket
3. Discrete hours: example. 11:00,12:30,15:00,18:41 EA will look at each of those hours to attempt to open a basket.

You can now enter 2 ways the GMTDailyCloseHour.
1. single hour example: 19:00. EA will look to close a basket that is open at that hour
2. Discrete hours: example. 19:00,20:30,22:00,23:41 EA will look at each of those hours to attempt to close a basket. (this case only happens if the EA already has an open basket, once closed EA does not continue to attempt to close any basket)


Now on the BBsqueeze and 3Candle stuff. I am in the process of working out this so it acts as a filter. So for now hold off on using it. They do work but not as intended. The final result will be like this:

1. The user will select a range of hours that the EA will look to add trades to the basket
2. The BBsqueeze and 3 or 2 TF candles will act as filters that the EA will use to determine which pairs are to be added to the basket.
3. The Allowduplicates/AllowOpposite trades will help to control the number of trades that are placed on the basket.

The idea (from ForexPinBar) is that instead of opening up a list of trades in one shit that now the baskets is gradually built thru filters during the week. This may help with the DD issues we are seeing when a basket is opened with several pairs at once.

There are a couple of other approaches that 2 folks have pointed out, that will do a similar filtration of pairs.

but one pair not highlight indicator (eurchf)

Hey Jess/Xmess...the new beta...so if I enter a string of times, eg 05:00.06:00,07:00 - would the system open a basket (if indicator has any trades available) at 5, then if it closes maybe at a small profit, then reopen at 6, and so on?

If it does not have any trades though at 5.00 due to indicator not providing any, will it open at 6 and so on if indi shows some options? I understand if it's open, and it goes from range of 5-7 then the priginal basket that is still open remains open.

Finally the same settings for TO FIFO, used on weekly & manually started yesterday, made it into reasonable profit

Result for 1 hour after LO using Embry1 template.
Min Pips is not zero actually. Min pips is 169.5 pips. It goes back to zero after 1 close and reopen back the MT4. I dont know whay it became zero.

If you are searching for the best, it is always best to do "head to head"
LO - Embry1 Daily v's PIF FIFO
It is interesting the weekly is different as is TO so more tests needed.

and this just proves that it depends on the market time as to which is the better strategy at the time ...
Diversification in FX is no different to investing in any other market - perhaps spread your risks.
IMO there should be more "head to head" then we all have the benefit of which provides better returns and when.

I seem to have an issue using FX Madness difference.

When using strength it gives no selection. Any ideas anyone ?

dll file is installed. Broker uses suffix -ECN but allowing manual or auto makes no diffrence. ccfp working fine,just strength.

You can find that on my trade explorer..About 11,125 pips in profit with -521 pips DD...To be honest , Am loving the GVC CCfp bbsqueeze ..The GVC bbsqueze entry technique seems like a winner .
