NFP is done, now i eagerly wait for people to start saying "well, the monthly basket seems to have turned again. Will pick up next week".

i OPENED manually,I had open the usdjpy chart.I was a bit fixated with the 1 minute open..I should have pulled trigger a bit earlier as the move was quick so lost a lot of gain.Just missed the 100pip mark,just closed out for 67 pips.

In the end it recovered. Since it went down almost 100 pips I set the lock level as low as 30 pips so after the recovery I was taken out early by the retrace.
It's OK since the basket didn't even include USDCAD and GBPUSD pairs that were the best runners. Anyway added to Tokyo FxMadness's setup I reach my daily target and +20% in the account in two weeks with only one day in red is more than enough for me. Slow but steady (and I don't consider it slow btw).

Good job. That's how today should have gone. Baskets definitely screwed me up today. I just got out of both for an overall 20 pip loss which isn't bad. Definitely should have been a green day. Still a green week for my live account trading ONLY high impact news. This one would have made 100% accuracy as well. Oh well, technical difficulties lol

Like you said,still up so chalk that one up to experience..Its seems to me, by my limited experience with the news over the years,that a 30 minute close either manually or auto is a good place to look.
Whats your experienced view on that ? or
maybe it just coincides with the hour candle ?

That was in mind when i closed out today.

Embry, you mentioned that you set but did not open the earlier aud news trade basket on aug 2nd about the trade balance.
Could you remember what refrained you from opening it?

Really not sure why hey, very strange. I did enter manually but it was 12:32 so I already missed most of the move. It went into DD but moved back into profit and I closed with +53 pips. Not as much as I was hoping for but its something.

For large moves like this 30 minutes is a pretty good window to opt out, and in this case it did end on the hour. However with the proper entry the TP would have been hit before 30 minutes which is usually what happens with these kind of moves.

Worked well today mate,I used the included list as it looks simpler to see whats in the list,but worked well.Nice and usable for the news now.

ok,great,Thanks. I only opened one basket and that inc all usd and cad pairs.

with that in mind,would you have normally increased t/p and s/l ?

As i now understand it you are not trading ccfp suggestion but just the pairs affect by the news ?
There are way much better ways to do that and basically the discussion should not be on this ccfp thread.

its using the ccfp suggestions (t/t) on short time frame 1hr using level 1,but only on the filtered pairs according to the news. The idea was suggested by Embry1, it seems to be working well.
The ccfp is filtering the pairs and ea (beta) is opening them either using manual button or time set.

Both baskets are 60 TT L1 1/2, one is unfiltered all 28 pairs, the other one is strictly USD pairs. Then the other basket was another filtered USD basket for separate results.

I think what FxMadness is talking about is that the subject, title, and original strategy of this thread created by FBP is the CCFp weekly signals (set and forget) and since the beginning up to now there have been many changes to how people are trading the CCFp strategy now, with some trading daily, monthly and now also the news strategy.

It is interesting to see the different approaches that traders are having to using this strategy, and its cool to see and learn, but I do think that many have swayed from the original strategy and doing different things now which is not really related to the original thread.

Yes, I full understand that. It got frustrating for me at one point when all the dashboards came on board !

See what Forexpinbar says,it might make sense to move it if its causing issues.

It would be a shame because then we may not have the help of fxmadness and xmess7 !

Seems like 80% of the thread recently has been about this strategy so I see where he's coming from. But I think it's just been like that this week because the other strats have been in DD so maybe people were looking for another way to make some pips this week. I'm still counting on my monthly baskets and I'm even working on a weekly basket. News is not all I trade but it has proven to be the most consistent. However I don't have enough testing to say that the monthly basket isn't as consistent, it probably is over the course of the entire month, but on bad weeks it sure is nice to have alternatives.

Is the original CCFP indicator still used for weekly trading or should I use the one FXMadness shared ?
