Guys Unfortunately had to close my Baskets because of Margin Call at a loss of $670 on my $1000 real account.

I used the Combine Lots on Duplicate Trades Option on the EA therefore please do not look at my Net Pips, the actual pip count in negative equity is about 6700 pips. Here is the trade report.

Will top up and try again next month, but will do it like ForexPinbar so that trades have more room to breathe will not try to do multiple baskets with similar trades.
For those whose baskets are alive, all the best and I wish they turn back green and glorious like previous months. For those, who have gotten SLs hit or Margin has been called, lets try again next month.

I have seen that you and Embry1 are doing great with news trading. What I would like to know is, do you use the default 3/5 setting and whether
you use the TRUE/FALSE FALSE/FALSE TRUE/TRUE or FALSE/TRUE. Also It looks like you disable the pairs that don't not relate to the news in the indicator, true?

settings for MA are 1 Fast, 2 Slow, probably not even needed since CCFp is set to TRUE/TRUE. Yes, following Embry1's idea I disable pairs that don't relate to the news. Today another success trading GBP Construction PMI. I'll post it later here.

All this fuzz about a bad monthly basket...What do you guys/girls think? that all months will be positive?
Have you ever seen a trader do exclusively positive trades?
I don't want to sound negative because i'm not, i like the setup and the CCFp has some merit, but it is not normal if there are only winning trades.

Take for example two daytraders who in this example trade only one 1:1 R:R trade a day:
- number one tradeshistory is 3 days and they are all positive so he's at 100% right now.
- number two tradeshistory is 100 days and he trades 51% off those days positive.
Witch one would you give your money?

That's why i said to wait for at least 100 months before any kind off conclusion about this system can be made.
I know it's to long for anyone here, so that's why i think you should tackle this problem with moneymanagement.
If i would trade this live i would just spend some pocket money and scrape off profits untill i got my original investment back, after that i would let the account grow a little while still scraping off profits. All this is offcourse the best outlook, if on the other hand the account would go bust after a couple of months you got your profits to start a new account.
Persistence will get it. Consistency will keep it.

August is the cruellest month... at least for trading !

Weekly & Monthly setups are marching straight towards their SL, it has been no use to decrease the number of baskets.
I'm starting to suspect that many (if not all) great successes showed here, +30,000 pips plus have been obtained trading without any stop loss, e.g. SL = 0.

Again, history repeats itself and to find a proper risk management will be the challenge and the key to be able to trade this very good strategy in a long, consistent and profitable way.

Of a complete different flavor short term trading CCFp strategy using FxMadness indicators and its proposed setups for TO and LO and Embry1's variant when there high impact news.

Today, after having updated FxMadness to last release I had success both in TO & LO. Success trading GBP Construction PMI too, so target reached and done for the day on this acount.

Adding my experience from today:

I had set the virtual basket upper trigger at 30 pips and my CCFp Trade Level was at 2. When virtual basket triggered at 30, it had two AUDXXX pairs, each at around 10 pips (total 20 pips) and the remaining 10 pips made up by another 6 pairs from other currencies. But when it triggered, the trade level of AUD had gone to 1 in the histogram, and so both AUD pairs didn't make it from virtual basket to real basket. And the pairs that did make it to the real basket, had contributed only 10 pips out of the 30 pips that triggered.

So I think it might be a good idea to have an option to lock CCFp indicator or virtual basket, if a virtual basket in live.

I am pumping out profitable baskets since Monday and i am just testing two baskets with different setups against each other.
That means that i do not even really care when i start a basket or that the TP and locks are set correctly.
Short term (daily) managed baskets are the word for August.

Hi,
The Input "Level (+/- pips) at which VirtualBasket is allowed in RealBasket" when set to a a number (+/- pips) will cause the EA to only allow pairs that have a profit level more than x pips (or less then - pips) to be opened in the Real basket.

Here's the process:
1. A vBasket is opened at a certain hour you selected
2. vBasket reaches it's Trigger Level
3. EA then looks at the profit for each pair in the vBasket
4. Ea only allows pair on to real basket IF it meets the requirement of the "Level (+/- pips) at which VirtualBasket is allowed in RealBasket" input
5. If input "Level (+/- pips) at which VirtualBasket is allowed in RealBasket" is positive then EA looks for pairs that have that many pips or more
6. If input "Level (+/- pips) at which VirtualBasket is allowed in RealBasket" is negative then EA looks for pairs that have that many pips or more

Please NOTE. FYI:
This feature in itself works fine but it will change. A more controlled setup for having the EA determine which pairs will be allowed into the real basket is what the new upgrade will contain.

Finally, for Embry1 setup, in regular CCFp put Timeframe=60, True/True, MA settings 1 for Fast and 2 for Slow, remember to filter out pairs not impacted by the incoming red news, and on xmess7's EA set the TradingMode to daily and the open 1 minute after the news release. Default TP=100, SL=150 but here you'll better look how the news comes out and then tweak these levels accordingly and actively (not set & forget).
