I agree. Even with the fundamentals this week the pair will probably continue rallying, even if it forms some temporary whipsaws.

I apologize if you thought I was criticizing you. I see your live acct is quite healthy and it is easy to see that you have a pattern of success that really works well for you.

I was just curious why you thought that shorting was a perplexing move. I was just responding to that question. I am generally a retracement trader for the last couple of years and it's been only recently where I have found the balance of risk to reward. At that point, I have been doing remarkably well. Still have a ways to go to get to 'all-time' break-even but at year-to-date I'm at in the 60 plus percent range. I only mention this to tell you that I am experiencing success in the middle of a strong trend.

I could get really burned on this one, however, the last few bad positioning on a retrace resulted for the most part as a break-even.

it's ok

going against the trend especially the one eurusd is taking now is terrible mistake because eurusd is in strategic up trend targeting 1.1900 and above such as 1.2000 levels

so if you want to trade retracement that would be a gamble if you have no clue where to stop

I put two pending shorts, one at 18.50 and one at 19.00 and at the rate this thing going I expect them to be filled no later than tomorrow morning

Its not wise to holding loss for to long ether. I got out of mine at BE. I said it Sunday night. If you can hold it and still make money you are fine.

Sometimes I wonder what is and what is not wise with this currency pair as it has become so evident that manipulation is the game here. If I hold on to my shorts the price keeps going up but the moment I close them the price I am sure will fall down like a rock. I had that experience one too many times before, so that's why I decided to hold on to my shorts and do some hedging in the opposite direction and take profits every now and then on the hedge positions

No offence , it tells me you have no plan in place. I have been there trust me. What was you target when you entered short? What was your risk? How far can you hold? How far it is from major reversal point? How much you make if it will reverse and how much you loose if it's not! Weight pros and cons of holding negative positions! I can't hedge and I wouldn't use any hedge strategy ever. It's been proven that hedging not profitable strategy. Up to you of course, but I cut my losses immediately now if it's not going according to my plan. I don't care if it reverse immediately after I closed it. Don't look back. It drags you down. Always have SL and TP in mind. Good luck!

P.s today is first day in long time when I banked 30 pips ,100% according to my strategy. They weren't guessed, hoped or preyed. They were planned and earned.
