Hi xmess,

today I experienced the following with xm7_Ccfp_Wkly_TradeMonitor_v37.7.8_beta_20. I setup 3 Monthly baskets to be run on 1st August at 12:00 GMT.

After a while, I saw the baskets were already opened today 31st July. I don't know if it's a bug in beta_20 corrected in newer versions or it's still there-
Otherwise it can be I did something wrong in settings, but I can't say what. Any clue ?

Could be possibly cos you have the EA set to open on a Monday and it should be set to Tuesday?

Yes, it can be. I don't know how the EA works (its inner logic), so I thought that selecting "Monthly" as Trading Mode, the EA would have picked "1" from setting Day of Month To open basket without considering Day of Week to Open Basket that belongs to Weekly Setting section. Hopefully Xmess7 will clarify this-

Since there's no red news today until AUD tokyo session, I decided to try every orange news this morning. Four baskets, each filtered to the specific news currency. I wasn't awake for EUR and GBP so next time I will drop the TP and SL to 60-80 pips for these since they are slower and less pairs. Each basket touched 60 pips profit, the EUR and GBP turned around after that but with a 60 pip TP every basket would have hit.

This is the resul about half an hour after I opened the basket with revese pairs in demo:

I think this only can be done by the end of month

Done, Fixed it in Beta 26

Beta 26 - I also removed the lot recalculation from the pip count, that should work normally. I will try later on to see if I can get that to work.
So in the meantime the folks that use pips, either don't use the "Combine Lotsize" input or if you do use it recalculate your pip totals. You can also consider setting TP to percentage, that does not change.


FYI:
When the Monthly mode is selected the daily and weekly settings are not taken into account. So only the Monthly setting is used.

Hello All,

I have been FX trading ,on and off, part-time, for the past 14 years. Now that I am retired (with a fake gold watch and a kick in the rare), it is time for me to give it a go full-time.
I have read form the very first page and find it very interesting. Many thanks to Forexpinbar, xmess7, FxMadness ... for putting the time and energy into this thread.

Not sure how how one basket can show 30 odd pips and my positions showing minus ?

Account Balance and Equity are correct in EA Window ..pip count is incorrect ..maybe because you forgot to press RESET EA button
( resets Global Variable ) ....I say maybe. Cheers.

That's pretty cool so perhaps for orange news we can set a filtered basket but maybe only shoot for lets say 50 pips TP, like a hit and run FIFO. Set a higher lot size ao we can still make money on it.

I'll be setting up a basket for tonight AUD red news and hope it banks some pips.

Hello guys. For the past few weeks I have been following this entire thread and testing it myself. Read every single post, even took notes from it. I must say, brilliant work! My sincere thanks to forexpinbar, xmess7, fxmadness, payitforward and many many others who contributed to this thread.

I would like to know if the following can be achieved with this EA:

Currently I see an option to set Profit Lock automatically based on LockPercentLevel. I was wondering if it will be better to have an option to set the trailing Profit Lock with pips instead of percentage. For example based on current settings, if my Begin Profit Lock is at 100 and I have a LockPercentLevel of 50%, my profit lock will be set to 50. As the pips gain to 500, the profit lock will be at 250. But if there was an option to set trailing profit lock using pips, we could enter a value like 100 pips and so profit lick will be at 400. I know you could achieve this by increasing LockPercentLevel, but the thing is, for smaller values, there is not enough room for pull back.

How do I open multiple baskets on one chart? I am using the latest beta.

I want to open a pair of virtual baskets based on two indicators. If one gets triggered into real basket, I would like to close the other virtual basket automatically. Does that make sense?

Good point,Thanks.I had opened a basket after one closed,and did not reset !
