Yesterday's attempt to break out above 1.1700 led to the formation of a shooting star candlestick on the daily time-frame at that level, which is another signal for a move to the downside. I opened a short position.

Pair always retrace ultra high volume (unless its at the top/bottom of a move)

The ultra high volume (h1/h4) was in the middle of a move....retrace will happen to 1.149x at least, I can't say its not gonna rise but short will have their money at 1.149x

I have conflicting Buy and Sell signals on various time frames.

Looks like 1.16430 is where it should SIT BELOW for now prior to the FED release... I'd be surprised if it is above until then. But if it gets above during the release, could pop higher rapidly to around 1.1750 it seems.

Small Euro spike UP. US home sales rose in June. Funny that this causes a spike up - probably did not but wanted to comment anyway.

REUTERS:
"The housing market is being constrained by a dire shortage of properties, which is keeping home prices elevated and sidelining first-time buyers."

FALSE, younger just cannot afford it because the USD interest rate is so low, and thus home prices have been BID so high. Has not much to do with the dire shortage, at least where I am. I've seen VERY FEW that can afford the minimum of even 10% down, let alone 15-20% you should have minimum. I think the AVG in my area is like 6% down. And I'm seeing plenty of supply in the listings, but prices refusing to come down. Haha. >.<

*I suspect that the prices are "sticky" to the upside because the fiscally challenged governments (at this point) do not want to lose TAX revenue and the USD rates are so low...

1 hour before FOMC, the 4 strong resistances are between 1.16370-1.16470 .

I wish you strong resistances, to be strong and the strong support at 1.15910 will be broken...
