DislikedHi Emmanuel, I am on the EST time zone. Regarding h4 trading, can setups be taken at any time or should I only be looking to trade them during Late Asian session like Big E mentioned?Ignored
If you are trading strictly H4 only, then not trading on Sunday when NY open is a good idea.
reason is most weekend we see price gaps and the TDI is based on price setting you chose. The TDI in all cases of the price gaps will be wrong to follow. It take many price bars for the TDI to 'correct' itself.
The other reason not to trade the NY Sunday open and the early morning session of Tokyo is also the market liquidity is usually low for some currency pairs.
I trade AU , AJ and UJ as the only exceptions but only using H1 and M15. Best thing to do is wait until Tokyo finish their lunch time and that would be 2~3 hours before London session opens. depends on DST.
Not trading H4 on Friday after London session closed is also a good rule.
Always good to know the various market sessions open and close times of the day and have them synchronize with your local time and your trading hours.
