Hey Skat:
I use to just avoid the Days that the US or LONDON banks had holidays. But after further observation, I decided to stop trading for the week.
So I sit on my trading hands these week

smart choice since you are trading live xmess. also nfp on friday is a huge event and there is a fomc meeting as well. so this could very well be a wild week.

my demos i will let them do their thing, but live will wait myself till this week is over.

Lets take note of these major holidays on Monday and Tuesday especially those trading live account.Also NFP and FOMC this week..These could make or break the baskets..We wills see...Hope this week brings 10,000s of pips LOL.

yes exactly, that's when you already have a specific system to trade which one of it's rule is (don't trade in bank holiday, don't trade in coming red news, don't trade in last day of month or quarter , etc ...)
Till now I'm trying many methods here (about 5 ways) .. setup baskets, record profits and losses, collecting data from here and there, input results in excel sheets and make reports and analyse them .. by this weekend I gave up trying some methods and added others to my watch .. I want to try everything I can .. day by day rules will appear and a system will be clear for me.
you see me posting reports everyday but did you know? I don't have a specific strategy till now. when I say till now I'm talking about 10 years. and when I got a specific and personal system works for me, one of its rules is not to trade in banks holidays I will do that.
I remember before 10 years i saw that it was very easy .. there are only two options buy or sell so that I lost 250$ in live account in about two hours .. now I may spend two years growing a demo account and doubling it many times before thinking to go live .. and I will not give up trying to do that everyday by this way. any system without personality, money management and discipline is worth nothing for me even it's giving 5 digests of green pips every month. most of people here know that and I'm sure you know .. so let me try this and record a small note beside results (It was a bank holiday).

That's exactly what I want to say in my last post .. (These could make or break the baskets) we will see, and without entering the market we will see nothing .

1st congrats with this successful and one of the hottest thread here in FF, as well to all coders...

regarding to that 5 minutes interval for myfxbook, you have to synchronized your mt4 account to myfxbook portfolio account
mt4 >tools>option>ftp
from there you can see the settings every 5 minutes mt4 refresh your status direct to mxfxbook profile/portfolio...

- Not trade Mondays or Fridays, check
- Not trade bank holidays, check
- Not trade high impact news, check
- Not trade last or first day of the month, check

Mmm, might as well go in hibernation for the rest of the year (and stay in it for the next decade or so).

That is the best option because MyFxbook will automatically open account entries for you when a new account connects.
Just rename it once it is opened in MyFxbook so you now what that account is about.
