EU - M5 - Shorts

missed some cool continuation shorts:

1] b/o from symmetrical |> across main pivot.

2] b/o from wedge across mS1.

Don't feel bad, brother. They're easy to overlook sometimes.

15m Usd/Jpy......

These are two opportunities that I missed because of being involved with other priorities. A nice long bullish wedge first of all, that would have led to a potential 30 pips or so. The second one was as a result of a retrace to a midpoint level, where a "sash" pattern formed and then it would have been a long wait for price to finally crawl over R1 for around probably less than 20 pips.
I'm posting them for for anybody who's interested.

15m nzd/usd.....

The brief retrace to the midpoint level, and forming a high-wave candle, after the huge bullish candle, and then continuing up was a quick opportunity to pick up 14 pips or so. Those small 1 candle retraces are always worth watching to see what comes next!

agreed about the small 1-candle retraces. I also like them a lot on H4 and D1. the resumption breakouts can be caught on m5/m15 with small stop-losses easily for a 100+ pip move. I've heard someone refer to these retraces as "stutters". I like the term.

Thanks for that, pg. "Stutter" is a very apt name for that 1-candle retrace!! I'll have to keep a watch on the higher TF's and check them out.

15m GU.......

One of the simplest set-ups within this method and I missed it! A simple trend-line along the pull-back, a breakout and then a nice climb up to the midpoint level. Worth around 35 to 40 pips.

15m USD/JPY.......

A dragonfly doji, followed by a spinning-top, on the confluence of the 13ema and the midpoint level, initiated this trade. Entry and exit as shown. SL was just below the 34ema.

NJ - M5 - Long

couldn't ask for a nicer trade to close the week with ...

Price --
retraces into the main pivot during the asian session (blue box).
forms a triple bottom along the pivot.
forms a bullish harami (white ellipse) on the pivot half way into FH (grey box).
rises from there making a higher low with a long lower wick.
a 1-bar retrace and b/o provides a nice entry around LO back into the clean daily up trend.

entry : 79.20
exit 1: 79.67 ( near R1)
exit 2: 80.04 (near R2)
s/l (initial) : 79.00 (below the HL)
s/l trailed as indicated on chart.

let's see if the trend continues to remain organised and offers another long on monday.

15m EU........................

Nice double top formed across R1, with the dip in the middle stopping right on the midpoint level before drifting back up again to finally form the said DT. Entry and exit as shown.

Psych-lines.......

Been watching psych-lines for a while now, and decided to post these two opportunities from exclusively psych-line charts. I didn't actually trade these, but I think I'll be watching them pretty closely from now on, without the pivot lines. Same sort of patterns to look out for. In the first one, a bearish engulfing candle initiates this trade, and in the second, a nice symmetrical triangle pattern. Suggested entry and exit shown for each example.

15m EU.......

After a short period of consolidation along the main pivot line, price started moving north. The MA's were starting to spread and move up, which was a promising indication, so I entered as shown. SL was placed under the MA's.
