I am of the opinion that RBA wont raise rates this time but will keep doors open for a further rate rise next month.

So after an initial sell off, we will see a decent rally in this pair.

I am short from .8850 with TP at .8735 and S/L at .8990.

yes, by not minute-by-minute. over time, usd pairs move similar, but not every hour - especially when a news event affects just 1 pair
gold is much more volatile than AUD, if it was a true LT move, gold would follow quickly and sharply IMO... obviously IMO. i think all of these pairs were due for a correction anyway, if it takes out lows, obviously DT continues...

Market has priced in a rate rise and IMHO, they're in for a surprise tomorrow.

even if they rise the rates, AUD is bearish and will target .8680-8560 before the end of this week.

gold is going up/being bought against all currencies at the moment. anyway, the usd has been going up, and looks like the RBA wants AUD lower as well

caught the train from half way (8850). I think we should easily be aiming at 8690. I had done the chart before, will post later.

Hardly. It's more like the RBA doesn't want to keep jacking up people's mortgage payments (which affects consumer spending).

It was about time I made some decent pips. The thing is, this rate pause will not be taken too well by EU and US markets and this will confirm global financial jitters... RBA mentioned global credit issue as one of the reasons for not hiking rates.

Its more to do with Internaitonal conditions than local conditions.

AUD will make new lows tonight around 8750, if not 8735.

and I still believe we will see .85xx post NFP (may be next week)

well that's true, too. But if i remember correctly the RBA said AUD was overvalued about 2 months back.

8732 will provide minor support and 8589 will be the major support.

RBA states that "Lenders have generally raised rates a little more than the cash rate over recent months and most loans have risen by close to a percentage point. Since information about the impatch of those changes is still limited, they holding steady".

did you close the shorts or you are still riding them down?
I took them at .8915 and close them at .8845 , what a mistake. well I promised myself not to be greedy,

guys, i dont wanna monitor this all ngiht - yet my entries are 8835

technically + fundamentally, is it safe to leave this thing open? or should i set a tp?

I dont trade this pair (outside of tonite), so i dont know what the outlook is
