As a fan of Mouteki,

I have to say, I am "disturbed" at the add-ons to it that MAKE NO SENSE AT ALL.

http://www.riceboypage.com/<-- That is what a lot of people seem to be doing to their Mouteki's.. "Riceing it up" and that indeed is disturbing.

Mouteki:
http://www.canadiandriver.com/articl...atchback-1.jpg

What people are doing to Mouteki:
http://www.riceboypage.com/shame/hal...cker_civic.jpg

While all the add-ons give the Riced up Mouteki the "appearance" of being more profitable, I don't think it is.

Before you start adding aftermarket parts or indicators to your Mouteki (or your car for that matter), people reconsider...

If you feel insulted by this post; chances are, you are whom I'm talking about... OUCH..

haha, well I wasn't able to check out the page..the link was bad, or maybe the page itself is down for now...but i'm loving the example, along with the visual aid there lol. i, too, am irritated by "riced up" cars...much less a riced up trading method.

The problem is lack of education.

And I mean that on both parts.

As someone who is Asian and have a bunch of friends who "rice up" their rice rockets, it disturbs me. None of them can outrun my old Audi with sleeper mods, and they spent more on their honda civic than I did on my Audi A4.

Short disturbing story..

My friend was out on a date with this hot chick, who was also my friend. I set them up. I set up the activity, and the dinner location (leave nothing to chance). So I thought..

8:30pm, I get a phone call.. it's the girl. She wanted me to come pick her up.. Bad date??

NO..

In his strive for riceness, he clipped his springs himself.. The car bounced like Debbie doing Dallas, and she threw up TWICE in his car.. and finally, would not get into his car.. So I had to drive to Downtown to give her a ride home.

"Nice guy, $hitty car." Was her comment.

So the lesson here boyz and girlz, is that you will be losing the hot chick and the hot pips if you continue to rice out your car or your chart..

Go to youtube.com and type in "unpimp VW"

It doesn't hurt to have an extra indicator for confirmation so I feel more confident about Mouteki entry because not all entry is a winner. All I am doing is making Mouteki method more suitable for me. I like Mouteki better in the 1H chart because it's more suitable for me. That does not make me dumb or stupid for doing so as long as it work for me.

I like my Honda customized because it make it more me. I like to drive something a bit more different than the next guy's Honda. It's okay if you like your boring Buick. But don't insult other people's hobby. One day I will work on real Le Mans race car.

Dude... twoblink is right. In California, we laugh at all of the (usually Asians (female ones at that), no offense twoblink), that think they be ballers with their sooped up Civics...

Most just don't get it. There's a difference in having a hobby, and being a dork.

Furthermore, I don't think twoblink is gonna give you a hard time because you add an indicator to Demark lines. What he is referring to is adding three different indicators, making sure they all line up, and the moon of Endor is 3.454467 degrees in equinox with the sun before they go long or short...

Ahh yes..the infamous rice rocket. It's a common thing here in NJ, sadly. Although they are fun to laugh at, they're annoying. Much like you, they can't seem to outrun my bimmer, despite all the 'mods'. I personally am a german man. Not german heritage, but in my preference of cars.

But i'm straying from the point of this thread..mouteki. its not often i find a thread where i can make fun of the ricers. =D

Mouteki works??? As is??? <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

Twoblink,<o></o>

Your "Secret Sauce" journal back in June blew my mind. I'm sure you’re not trading Mouteki strictly by the rules laid out in the document. Didn’t you start your own thread "Tweaks and Mods"? I've ordered 2 books because of your "Tweaks" thread. Can you suggest a book for your Do, Re, Mi?

<o></o>

Many FF members are struggling trying to figure out how to confirm which signals to take.<o></o>

The people who keep saying newbie’s need to stop adding to systems must have forgotten what its like to be a newbie. The funny thing is those same experienced traders have posts all over this forum doing exactly the same thing.<o></o>

<o></o>

Now the car thing is funny. I often wonder what the hell those guys are thinking. I saw a mini van the other day with wings on the top. Probably for better gas mileage, takes some weight off tires.<o></o>

You will note, I don't add indicators to the tweaks and mods.. In fact, when I trade, there's pretty much only two lines (sometimes one). I don't add additional indicators.

And you got me all wrong. I'm not saying newbies should stop adding stuff to it, I said:

You got a Honda civic, great. Racing springs will help in cornering. True. Racing Springs are lower than stock springs. True. CLIPPING YOUR SPRINGS SO THEY LOOK LIKE RACING SPRINGS WILL NOT HELP YOUR PERFORMANCE AND PROBABLY WILL INCREASE YOUR BRAKING DISTANCE BY 40%. TRUE.

If Mouteki Vanilla is not working for you, Mouteki Rice Version probably is not going to help you if you don't understand why the original Mouteki is not working for you..

If you adding additional indicators to mouteki makes it profitable, all the more power to you.

The "Trend" on the FF has been to bash inexperienced traders trying to learn and understand in the past couple weeks.<o></o>

In hindsight your post isn’t one of those. My response was more directed to the "Trend". <o></o>

I'm trying to help people out by telling people to quit making the same darn mistakes I made because I added so much crap to a system. That's a common mistake when you are new.

Furthermore, if you need to add more things to Demark lines to figure out when to enter, then quit trading. NOW.

Why am I so hardcore about this? BECAUSE YOU NEED TO HEAR IT. Because this is exactly what everyone does -- someone posts something on a forum and all the n00bs modify the crap out of it. This happens constantly, while those of us who have made the same mistakes just shake our heads.

Sorry if you're thin skinned and think that my comments are bashing. They aren't. Go listen to Rob Booker. If you think I'm rough, his presentations would probably make you cry.

Don't listen to me. Keep making the same mistakes that you always do. The markets will be much more bashful to you than I could ever be.

Perhaps that's what you need. Like Ed Seykota says, "Everyone gets what they want out of the market..."

*shrug*

This is my first post, because i didnt really have time to post here, but i decided to add to this thread, because i really see the point. But i have to take out one thing, actually question. i read the files and was watching this forum almost from the beginning, except the fisrt post, which became so big, that a lost my appetite (i hope the word is correct ) after a while and the separate currency threads, because i wanted to practice on my own picture. I agree that you should trade strictly the rules, but he wrote something like look at the bigger picture (daily, w, ?m?,..), now, do you look at those just by mouteki or different (lets say in general) templates? I dont know if i should look at the daily also with SAR, MACD, EMAs, and maybe RSI, and the decide what is the trend, and take only those mouteki trades, or use mouteki on all frames and take those trades, or fcuk the big thing and trade all the breakouts,if the lines are not almost vertical and/or if they are too close, mondays, and fridays maybe, etc.

Now if considering looking at the big picture to decide whether to go with the trend (and where the hell is it going) or against it,would u use another system? wouldnt this be the honda with the audi motor and without the wings and springs? what do you think? and if you would use mouteki all frames would it be audi with some nitro? and the idea to take all but include the "feeling" for the lines them selve? would this be just the audi ?

now i am not sure which to take...

i have pretty real dreams and i would be good with audi, but

i was always dreaming about nitro,

or should i be different then the next guys audi and civic, and switch the engines, because i like civic the same way i like audi (in real life, the inside would ofcoure matter, i dont include this in this decription)

So what do you think, if you understand me, what i am trying to say, bacause i speak good english, but still.....

Simple is better. Price action and TDTLs are proven to profit. Plain and simple.

LOL, and on the RiceRocket thingy; my wife can outrun them anytime in her Volvo Cross Country x70 AWD on our soggy roads (100+ inches of rainfall)...in fact the other day i think i saw her doing some drifting (hehe) on the wet stuff.

Hello,

I note that you use the TDTLs. I see that others use the Mouteki trend line indicators and still others the Demark indicators. As your opinion is clearly valued on this forum, please explain why you prefer the TDTL indicator. Thank you.

Mouteki works. Period. Don't change it and listen to these wise men here, they're trying to help you and you bash them. To confirm your signals, take a look and study this thread here, you don't need anything else. Take a look at the daily chart and maybe use fibs. Then trade this system for at least 3 weeks WITHOUT MODIFYING it. Than you will see the results this system is capable to produce and only after you carefully analyzed all of your trades, then you can change the minor things like stops and take profit. Leave the system as it is and don't add unecessary indicators.
