Just want to share my 1st week result implementing this method. This is amazing. Thank you RobinHood. It's a good week. This week no loss at all. Still have some positions open over the weekend:
- 2 pairs secured as free trades
- 1 pair floating, not secured to BE yet

Note:
Demo account, each transaction calculated with 1% risk, split into 3 identical lot sizes. Closed transactions: 4.2% account growth.

Happy weekend, everyone!

Hello everyone, I would like to better understand this Strategy for D1. Therefore I am grateful for any hints. For example AUDUSD. As I understand it, all indicators on D1 are showing a Sell - entry. On the W1 but not yet. Would you wait for the confirmation in W1 for an entry in D1?
Thanks a lot

Hello, I just follow what has been explained by RobinHood from the beginning of this thread. I use D1 as the higher timeframe and H4 as the main timeframe to look for setup candle. Because I have time restriction to check charts, I don't always timing my entry on M5 which is suggested by RobinHood.

And here is the image for my open positions over weekend.

O oka nice thanks you seem to entered audcad base on trend but you didn’t want for a continuation or a cross over at the right time? You kinda just entered it? Because for me I look for trend on daily with all 7 indicators in one direction then enter on the four hour either a continuation or a cross over but audcad seems like it already cross over a while back but you seem to entered it base on trend

Hello Etheldreda. Nice trade you made this week. I have a question, how do you determine TP and SL? 2 candles back and then 1:1 for TP. or?

Thank you

Yes, I think the rules shared by RobinHood is very clear. When I open a new position I set SL 2 candles back + 10pips. TP1 1R, TP2 2R. For TP3 if I can check the H4 then I just follow RobinHood suggestion to let it run until 2-3 indicators change. If I can't check then I set 3R.

To be honest I didn't move my SL to 2 candles back, I still have a question about this too. RobinHood, please advice should I start moving the SL after it gains some pips, after TP1 or religiously for every bar?

Good eye! I took this just because the SL is acceptable. On that very day, there were D1 confirmation on 2 other pairs (AUD/USD and NZD/USD), but the SL was beyond my tolerance so I wait for the retracement. Actually I raised my doubt too on Post #6539 and RobinHood has shared his preference on Post #6540.

Anyway, thank you RobinHood for being so helpful!

Okay that’s what I thought when I saw your entry. For me I trade certain pairs mostly pairs that trend well I disklike pairs that whip back and forth and the indicators constantly changing colors how about you do you trade all or certain pairs like me?

I try to find pairs with clear direction of higher high or lower low on D1. I picked 12 pairs to scan without any further consideration as of now. But please read post #2277 by emmanuel7788, I believe that is a better way to filter the correlation pairs to minimize the risk of multiple damage.

Thank you, emmanuel7788!

Hello everyone,

first of all, thank you for all the information you've putted in this forum (not only the technical ones, but also the method behind trading).
I'm half away to read the entire forum (actually I'm at page 289), and I can't wait to show you a possible setup I've found, in order to understand if I'm on the right way to understand the method and the strategy :

- DAILY CHART :
Attached Image (click to enlarge)

- 4 HOUR CHART :
Attached Image (click to enlarge)

Name: 4 HOUR CHART.jpg
Size: 412 KB

Once the market open, would it be a good entry point for a short trade on the 4 HOUR?

Considering that I'm starting now to use this method, I'm looking for continuation trades, but, would it be also a good (crossover) short entry on the daily chart?

Thanks again !

This is one of the trade I took last Friday and I kept it open during the weekend, finally reached TP1. Closed the first 1/3 lot size. Move SL for the other 2/3 lot sizes to BE. I changed my template using some indicators mentioned by RobinHood in one of his post, developed by SwingMan:

  1. smTMMS Oscillator_v5.0
  2. smTMMS HeikinAshi-Chart_v1.4

Hi Etheldreda,

yes, I did, I took a couple of other transaction too and I'am actually on two trades ( NZD/CAD + AUD/USD, both short from yesterday).
The thing I've appreciated the most is that, through this thread, I've learned more on Forex from an' "outside" point of view that only about a system (i.e. position size, money managment etc.).

Hi @etheldreda,

Why did you take that entry? I canīt see either a continuation or cross setup.

Best,

Hello cgninvesting,
this is the trade I took last week, please check on the green sell-line. I have explained on Post #6,549 I opened the position once the D1 confirmed. It is not ideal to do so. I think the better option is to wait for a retracement on H4 then take a position.

Robinhood, have you tried to automate your system, is it useful to automate this system with entry conditions of your post 1 and with proper money management rules, or it should be traded only manually ?
thanx

No fear, no greed.
When most of my floating pairs suddenly changed direction at once, just follow the rules. Close the positions as per the rules. Floating pips are nothing more than a virtual numbers.

But to be honest, I can take this easily because this is demo account. From floating 280USD to realized 25USD. In real life I may cry a bit

I have not tried because I for many years I created and coded mechanical trading systems and that no longer appeals to me, because...

It's like the guy that invented Roulette, Blaise Pascal, he committed suicide because he invented a game that he couldn't beat.

I beat the game with many of my trading systems, but it became an overwhelming obsession to find and code the "Holy Grail"...and at some point you realize that it's like chasing a rainbow to find the pot of gold at the end of it. It can't be done.

*But I do think purely mechanical trading systems are the best way to go for most traders. I'm just in a place now where what I enjoy most is outsmarting the market using just my mind...and a few indicators.
