Nice results for sure. If I may pick your brain for a bit on the topic of coming up with these "settings" which seem to be unique to each pair. I think the process you go through manually is excruciatingly painful, focus intensive and labor intensive. That is why you have only two chosen pairs to be a master of trading them. Understanding the Behavioral DNA of each pair is quite the work involving many months of screen time and because of the intricacies and inter and intra correlated nuances involved to find a unique "signature" that is repeatable through and across each trading session. I get all that and I have lived thru this process across all 28 pairs ( I only focused on behavioural analysis of the entire 28-pair basket (far more complex and convoluted then couple of pairs but painfully inconsistent as I was focused only on DATA and no charts or patterns or levels) during volatile times of session open/close/lunch and specific FX times of the week when volatility would pick up. That was my main focus... basket behaviour and then to automate it. Here comes my question (and I ask respectfully for your opinion)...

Do you believe in Curve Fitting in a strategy or the value it brings to your overall experience? I find most forum gurus to be against the principle of curve fitting. I am not a subscriber of that philosophy. I am convinced curve fitting is an essential and necessary "PROCESS" to fully and deeply and intricately understand the underlying instrument you are trying to trade. And by Curve Fitting, I am NOT referring to the stupid indicator parameter optimization feature in MT4. I am never a believer of using indicator as a sole provider of entry signal. Indicators to me is just a tool to act as a visual aid in the process of applying filters etc. I think you are also using TMA just for that purpose. It's not to give you an entry signal but to provide you with a blueprint or a template to fit in your focal interpretation towards making a precise pinpoint entry. Please correct me if my understanding is wrong based on what I wrote here in this post to CrucialPoint (another great Aussie!)... I would appreciate your feedback.

alternative idea:
why not use additionally a TF to your post that is simple to relate to...ie. post 2 charts?
it should not be difficult to post up a M15 chart too alongside, that shows a bit more in details that this was the top i traded off, or such.
just a small example to what i mean.
it has only horizontals and rectangles, something you can replicate at ease.
it is M15 chart, that is more relatable to the average trader ( then a stand alone 20 sec chart), and together with your other chart, may make it easier understandable why you choose to enter where you had.

of course, these are off hours on Nasdaq, and would be no place to do serious trading on it...but for the fun of it, and for educational purpose, some herd mentality zones marked, and based on what George is teaching on this thread, that is a good starting point to see how the price reacting, and start to look for possible entries if the filters are giving an OK.

i think your chart would become useful ( even if George isnt trading that instrument or forex pair) as long as it is in a digestible format to others. ( or post one with the bigger picture up along the zoomed in ( ie 20 sec. TF) with the entry.
one market isnt that different to other, the base principles and market forces work just the same.
there is always, always another trade!!

Thanks for the response. There was no assumption on my part as I was focused on your long journey that got you here at such level of expertise and wanted your opinion if curve fitting process played any part in your development towards your target levels and precision entries. That's all. I ask only for opinions on specific and unique experiences and questions to things I don't have answers yet. The Hows and Whys are equally important to me along with the What and When :-
