Earlier the day, there was a LONG mouteki signal.
Upon the Retail release, it turned south.
Sure burned alot of mouteki traders.

Q: When not to use Mouteki?
A: During a strong sentiment. We are in a period of strong USD Sentiment. I currently use Mouteki as signal to buy USD (not sell it) for the following reasons:

1. Election is coming
2. US had hit the low and started to climb up (for christmas or for election?)
3. Stock Market is soaring - alot are buying stocks which means converting foreign currencies to USD
4. 10yr Treasury Bonds is going UP UP UP (inspite of 2 no raise hikes). Which sends foreigners buying USD

BTW.. There is strong defense on 1.8500 by OPTON houses. OPTION plays a strong role in protecting Support/Resistance as it had protected the USDJPY from reaching above 120 all week long inspite of the N Korea Fart.

hi burgerking,
you talk about all fundamentals, although we do discuss just technical. your words 100% correct but can we use fundamental forecasts accurately as a filter in mouteki?

I don't see why not. It's the best of both world if you can predict direction with fundamental data. I would use mouteki to buy US dollar right against other majors right now. Mouteki seems to be working just fine for aud/us for last couple signals.

hi nitman,
why gold prices rise although fundamentals told usd gain? can anybody explain for me? the fundamental analysis can be used for long term analysis but we are all short term investors and i think fun analysis do not have any big pressure on our 4H or 1 H plans. of course this is my thought

Just a reminder: If you choose to go long on euro and cable, and short on swissy as well, you are just effectively tripling your position.

There are some who prefer to just go instead for the best of the 3 setups.

OK another questions .

Lets say the top trendline breaks and we take a Long position and set our limits according to the method. 5 or 6 candles later another new high according to the method is formed, do we readjust our position or let our previous trade run and complete (good or bad)?

Thanks

OF all the TA strategy out there that I have tested. Only Mouteki is the one that I use on LIVE ACCOUNT!

This goes to show that Mouteki *IS* the only TA I am 100% confident with.

However, you cannot discount the Fundamental facts of Forex.

How I use Mouteki?

* We are in Strong USD sentiment the past few weeks. This means, BUY USD vs EUR, vs CAD, vs JPY vs GBP (however, GBP is getting strong now that there is BIG rumor of a GBP rate hike).
* I buy USD when Mouteki says so.
* And I buy USD whenever there is a reversal agains USD; ie after the Trade Balance, EURUSD went up.. alot of you short the USD; I waited for it to peak and shorted this pair instead for a down ride. I did got a scare when the Retail Sales was bad for USD but it corrected afterwards. I personally love to see Mouteki dictating an Up trend - this means, I can short it again. Take Note: Range Trading makes huge money too!

Last words: Dont get me wrong. I have full confident with Mouteki. Mouteki is very simple to look at YET the logic behind it is far more than just 2 points and a line! It includes triangle, adam/eve, head and shoulder, R/S all combined into a simple 2 dot system!

i know the 50% and 33% rules but do you think it is possible to use the trendlines as stop loss indicator.
example: today he had a breakout of blue line in the eur/usd at 1.3529 . at the same candle the red trendline was at 1.2572. could that be used as a stop loss. and the stop will have to change on each close of a new candle.

i found on this thread someone advicing to close a position if it reverses (does that mean the same thing as in my idea

one more question (i hope that it doesn't sound too stupid) should we enter the moment the trend line is broken or we have to wait for the candle to break.

i am new to Mouteki trading and i find it very interesting.
has anyone counted how many trades have won and how many have lost??? (trading real accounts using Mouketi strategy.

thank you for your help and good luck for you all.

Hi E/U mouteki trader..

I am just a beginner. I have used the mouteki method daily and what always happened was, i got little profit then followed by big loss. I realize that greedy and emotion are the factors which influence my decisions.
Herewith i attached Eur/USd price projection. Are there anybody else who does the same price projection as i do?

Is Monday still the best day to setup the trend lines? What time should we trade ? coz i believe that we can not trade everytime we want.

Pls help me with this situation...
