It's not a case of being a policeman, it's a case of the rules apply to everyone equally

I dont think its a case of anyone policing. This is a community. And as such has rules set by the admin. One of them is:

VIII. No commercial agendas

Members may not use Forex Factory to promote a product or service, either their own or someone else's. This includes products or services that are planned for the future. If a member's posts can link them to a forex-related company, they're in violation of this code.

Members who are focused on a product or service, or new members who mention a little-know website, are generally suspected to be company shills. Action may be taken against suspected shills without conclusive evidence, as they compromise the integrity of discussions and can be difficult to prove conclusively.

Members who wish to promote a commercial product or service must be designated a 'Commercial Member' and are expected to abide by the Commercial Code of Conduct.

There's currently an exception to this code for brokers who advertise on Forex Factory (listed on Brokers) — they are allowed to host a thread and respond to traders in the Broker Discussion forum.


Erebus is only pointing out the obvious. There is thousands of threads here and Mods and Admin from what i understand rely on us collective members of "our" community to monitor ourselves. And that is why we can send clean up reports etc.

No ones tittys are in a twist except for Ralffes by the sound of his replies...threatening to leave everyone to losing.
The reality is guys like Erebus make the community better. If more people cared then maybe a few less people here would lose
money to scammers. Not that its ever good to send any member here money. You better be sure they are on the up an up.

Im sure @Twee or someone at FF will look into this and take whatever appropriate action is necessary.

But it sure seems as if Ralffe is commercial. JMO.

If someone with Senior FF status taking a role to monitor community and help admins to find violations why to spam the thread with a lot of "LOLs", "Scammer" etc etc rather than simply contact Thread owner and admins to sort out if any possible issues? "The reality is guys like Erebus make the community better." - STRONGLY DISAGREE.

You are the idiot that decided to trade the forex machine with your families money. When Ralffe made a loss on your account, did you give him a chance to rectify the loss. NO. You spat the dummy & cried wolf. You've only to check the Eur & Gbp/Usd to see price action would have taken you into a profitable week had you not panicked & spat the dummy
What money do you want back. He charged you nothing & you are he one got your account in the shit in the first place.

Well done mate. You are getting the gist of it.
Just remember to be careful when placing the lines on minor waves. It's only ok to do so on a high time frame if you take the trade on a lower time frame, stay glued to the screen & go for a small target.
