Heres a couple of daily's that went very well. I would suggest to anyone just starting to use this system to practice with tiny lots on the lower time frames but only trade real lots on the D1 or H4. Use the M5 or M15 to get a feel for price action and how to draw the lines and move the lines as price goes up and down and waves form. There will be a lot of losses on lower time frames. But once you move to the daily itll be worth it.

Hello Ralffe and All,

@Ralffe - Many thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience! Your approach of drawing TLs and entry/exit criteria looks simple and promising

I'm following this thread already for some time and now have opportunity to practice.

Appreciate if thread community could provide comments / suggestions to the attached picture. I simply took EURUSD H1 chart for a month time and tried to put TLs and entry/exit points (green) and stop-losses (red). Just wondering if my understanding of overall concept is correct.

Thanks in advance!

Alex, Did you do the chart on a daily basis moving trend line as retraces and pullbacks occurred or did you do it at one setting just to practice. If daily how did you take profits? It looks good seeing a birds eye view for a whole month.

Thanks for your comment, plind

It was just a first practice, so no detailed multi time frame analisys yet. I'm also trying to check other trading system which supposed to work on H1 and took eurusd chart as an example to draw TLs but also see where entry/exit and SL points might be correct to place.

I'm just wondering if I understood Ralffe's approach correct

First chart makes sence for me. Uptrend TL is placed after visible pullback on HL point and then price made new HH.
If I was in Buy trade I would close at least half position after daily bar moved completely below this line.

On the second chart I would not place major uptrend TL like you did as there is no new HH.

Several recent bars might be considered as a pullback for downtrend, so second chart is rather good to help with new trade decision within next few days.

Just my thougts

I don’t think, it’s something like a 45 degree angle

Anyway, your trendline should act as a dynamic support in an uptrend... not resistance

My understanding is that TL should not be too steep when it's just placed to allow price to move in the direction of the trend and not generate exit signal too early by small pullback.
Afterwards while trend is progressing you move right side of TL based on major pullbacks, therefore TL becomes more and more steep in most cases.

Attached chart shows already well established uptrend and TL doesn't look steep.
