Quoting stockwetDislikedmine updated OK. But, I don't know whether mine is the SpotTrader one, or just the MT4 from MetaQuotes. I think it's the latter and I'm just using the CoesFX server files.Ignored
Quoting stockwetDislikedYes you can. There's a thread in here called "MetaTrader Server Files". Look for that and it explains how. I've attached the server files here.Ignored
Quoting forestDislikedWonderful, I found it. I had not seen it before. Thanks again.
I am wondering since I signed up via StrategyBuilderFX but ended up under SpotTrader whether I will be benefitting from the $5/trade deal that StrategyBuilderFX has arranged. I will have to contact Joe and find out. It seems some of the people at COESFX are not informed of the arrangement.Ignored
Quoting cubesteakDislikedSo, I know it is possible to get bad ticks. And demo servers certainly have their fair share of them. But look at this on the spotfx demo. Do you think this is bad ticks, or reflective of the non-dealing nature of their feed? Or is it just business as usual in retail forex?

Quoting stockwetDislikedI asked Joe about that and he told me they would be ending that arrangement with SBFX since it undercuts their own business. I'll ask him againIgnored
Quoting LearningboyDislikedWithout a specific example, I have been using several of the SBFX demo accounts and have been comparing the quotes - not a good argument basis - and slippage and account activity. My impression is that the software will profile you as the client and approach the data feed to you accordingly.Ignored
QuoteDislikedwhy is the MT4 196 update is not showing the visual mode of backtesting.
Quoting LearningboyDislikedHi there ycomp:- The only reason I could think of is that they run the demo as per their real-time traders. It is just built in to their procedure. Incidentally, they also had a habit of knocking one's stops out. To trade with moderate profit I put long stops and watched the action to exit manually. I found that I could enter a trade by waiting for the stop hunt and predicting an entry which almost always guaranteed a "safe" entry if the stop hunting was active. If it wasn't active. I didn't enter. No loss either.
Hope this helpsIgnored
