I do not know if it is very important but Lagerde will have a speech at about 80 minutes. Maybe this helped the strong bounce of Euro.

Good on ya for calling CPI. Good on ya for following your system. Good on ya for making a bold call and defending your position. if you're right and there is a major upside breakout I'll be the first to offer congratulations. Maybe if it takes a dive through last week's low and on down to .9864 you'll do the same. But I agree with you that timing doesn't matter as long as you're on the right side. My reactions to your previous posts were all about your suggestion that this big move will happen by tomorrow. We'll find out soon right? Good trading to you!
a pull back or limit still intact . anyway any sorts of intervention likely at this stage , do or just die in peace !if do then there should have huge camel effects by this time !

Mostly Scalps and rarely few swings
EURUSD's recent short-term price action has been a frustratingly difficult time for me. I'm more used to taking long-term positions based on fundamentals, but ranging/consolidating moments like this are another kind of beast. I took longs at 0.998xx hoping price would reach at least back to parity before FOMC on Thursday, so this kind of suspense and choppy movement is starting to affect me. After the upcoming rate decision announcement, I intend on taking a bit of a break. Anyway, there's still a few hours left in the US session and the entirety of tomorrow, so let's see!

EURUSD is still falling. And the news that started at 8 o'clock had no effect. On the contrary, the euro falls even lower.

Depending on your system, the methods that produce profitable trades in trending markets can bring the exact opposite during range bound trading. A few of these in a row after you've hit home runs doing the exact same thing previously is enough to sow the seeds of self-doubt or worse for many traders. I applaud you for recognizing that your frustration might be leading you to make poor trading decisions while chasing losses.

In my experience taking a break has always been a positive. My earlier trading self was really averse to sitting out and letting the sting of losses just eat at me when I "knew" I could jump right back into the market and "get it back". But those are gambler's emotions, not an investor's mindset. Eventually I was able to channel that discomfort away from anxious FOMO trading and instead into study of what went wrong and why followed by pursuing other interests for a couple of days. Without exceptionI've come back feeling more emotionally settled and capable of making new decisions that were divorced from past results. I hope for the same for you. The great thing about the forex market is that you never have to wait very long for a good trading opportunity to come. Sometimes the thing one has to wait a little longer for is a good mindset to take advantage.

Thanks for your insight, mate! A break is definitely a good thing at times. I absolutely understand the feeling of being on a losing streak, its 100% a situation I do my best to avoid. Generally, I've made most of my gains off of medium-to-long-term trades, but came into the 4th quarter of this year with the intention of practicing short-term trading. Luckily with this mindset, I've managed my leverage well on my 0.998xx long order with just a small position. Still, I recently reached 100% after 11 months of a grueling learning period (i'm still a newbie) and seeing my account dip below that percentage would hurt me a bit haha. But yes, you are correct that there are plenty of opportunities to earn and learn

Checking daily tf, at least no big candle down, good for bull. And may not hold 9944 next day though but 9900 likely give good bounce. Today close competing 9967, likely be below it winning the next session most probably. Lets see if Dimond like swing persist or occasionally convert into symmetrical triangle in lower tf, but daily may not as swinging for enough time and work perfect to. !

I go short again. My indicators continue to signal me short. And to be honest, I feel a lot more comfortable with it at the moment.
I don't know what Lagarde said but she created panic. Maybe she reminded the market about tomorrow.
