Hi folks,

I'm a newbie and I've just started reading two of the books mentioned in this forum (Trading in the Zone and Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom).

I'm enjoying these books but I feel I need some more technical reading before I can continue. Often times I hear about fibos and pitchforks and fractals and waves -- that just confuses me.

I'm looking for some book (or books) -- preferable tutorial style, that will run me through:

- some basic concepts I mentioned
- basic templates for systems (like say MA crossover, pivot-systems etc)
- is not 800 pages
- is not 20 years old, not that it matters too much

Any recommendations?

Thanks,
Divya

Take a look at Mastering the Trade. He has several different methods and shows a step-by-step walkthrough of the trade. I've found this book the most helpful.

Heads up, he also has a website where he's selling the indicators for the trades at a hefty price. That's annoying. But he also tells you enough that you can put together a close approximation of his indicator yourself.

Also, the Vegas system materials here lend themselves to a tutorial style reading.

Suzuki,

The best tutorial book on trading I have read is The Candlestick Course by Niison. It is highly interactive in its approach.
I have read a great many books including the two you mention. Dont know if Mastering the Trade is in the tutorial format.
