ADX-based systems?

Hi All,

I've been doing a lot of research on the ADX indicator which I believe to be a very useful indicator for establishing trend strength and direction.

I'm currently trying to incorpoate this into a trading system with stochastics for longer timeframes but is anyone else out there using ADX effectively?

I wrote an EA that uses adx with good success along with 3 other indicators( but without the style line of the adx, I only use the DI+ and DI-) , I use it the way the expat scalp method uses it.

I also tried ADX before. Someone says ADX can be used to detect the strength of trend, especially when it's value is above a threshold, i.e. 30.
According to my experiments or observations, ADX reflects the strength of an upper trend only if it is bigger than 30 and adx>adx[1]m and adx is rising at an angle. if I use ADX later, i will combine the 3 criterias together.
I am still hunting for a magic trend indicatot or trend determination method, hope this thread can lead to more onstructive and more valuable discusions.
