Very simple(joking). This is not a serious proposition, but it is possible!

1) Find a successful trading strategy winning around 70% of the time
2) Make sure your Risk:Reward is at least 1:2 or higher
3) Use 5% risk for your SL
4) Turn $100 into $10k in 100 trading days

Good luck. I've attached some screenshots showing that $100 will turn into $10k+ in 100 trading days if you gain 5% per day. Also, a Risk:Reward screenshot showing how you need to aim for 2R or more.

The compound calculator is attached for your use. It excludes all weekends and also excludes user defined holidays. I've entered the US Bank holidays, but you can change them around.

This type of calculation is easy. But which method using to reach the target?

The method is for you to decide. I don't propose any particular method. Choose what works for your trading style and where you have an edge!

Lol. If you have a winning strategy that gives you an edge, 5% should be reasonable right? I mean using 1 or 2% only gives you a slow death. If you don't have a strategy with a winning edge, the % of risk will not matter because you will lose it all either sooner or later!!
I have no idea how are you going to make 5% per day when average move in forex is less than 1%. Just saying. It's going to take tremendous risk and you are probably lose that 100$.

The reason you don't risk as much as 5% is because even with a 70% win rate you can quite possibly have 4, 5 or 6 losses in a row. This is known as draw down. Surviving draw down is the key to success. At 5% with 4 losses you are down 20%. That affects your ability to trade, mainly due to doubt and fear. What about being down 25%? The larger the draw down, the harder it is to pull out of.

What youré saying is: play lottery, win 70% of the times and get rich in 100 days...

Chances are , risking 5% per trade, you won´t last longer than a week...
Firstly all you know about trading is wrong I mean it, most of the book I read although impressive when you first start trading its like wow, but when you start to apply all these rules you still end up loosing. So what I have to conclude is the books are wrong. The teachers are wrong. they cannot be right otherwise more people would be making money when in reality most people are loosing. The books are wrong period.

Firstly plan your trades, most people are clueless, they react to the market. Let the market react to your expectations, never chase don't be greedy and most of all move your stop aggressively and trade like a sniper.

draw down was nothing, trade flew in my direction straight away. Trade like this and you be able to risk 5% on a trade. All the people that talk about trade 1% do so because they cannot trade, they have a margin of error so big they can loose most of their trades and still make money. Who wants to trade like that, death by a 1,000 cuts while you tell yourself you are trading correctly. You are wasting your time. Good trading is about the correct analysis of the market, the precision entry and having the patience to wait for all the levels to line up. Most of the traders here are chasing the market, totally clueless on direction, but most importantly of all have absolutely no strategy, no edge and no experience of how the markets move or why.

If you are using stochastic or any indicator that is calculated from price you are a sheep, you have been herded into a pen and I guarantee you will lose every penny you put into your account: I know this because I was fed the same shit we all were. You are loosing at trading not because you are dumb, you are loosing because you are given the wrong method. I am close on 8 year at this business and I have spent years in front of a chart, I did not see it either. I had an idea but now I see it, I cannot believe I never figured it out before. It is there on your chart right in front of your eyes.

I am going to start posting my live analysis on my Twitter account because its there before the fact, in real time. My stuff gets lost on FF, and people don't get to see the set ups, because some troll has popped up to slag me off for some reason or suggest I am wrong. As one of the only traders that puts live calls here and predicts the market before the fact including the US election, I would have thought that more people would have been interested but I guess I use no indicators so I must be wrong.

Really? This is the most reason why theres only 1 out of 10 traders survived. Oh and did you ever found a guy who used elliott wave as analysis and making 100% profit weekly? Now he blown up already.

It's about money management not trading strategy. The hardest thing in trading is up to you.
Btw, @marinecorps do you also take into account spreads and slippage or its simplified calculations?

It's simplified calculations, but you could just as easily gain adjust your daily goal to account for commissions/spread.
You might not able to turn from $100 to $10k in 100 trading days, all depends on Forex market movement. If Forex market movement is quiet for a period of time, you might not able to capture good movement. If the Forex market movement is volatile, you might capture good movement but also might hit SL. Anyway, it is good to setup a guideline for you to achieve target, then you would definitely work harder to get it.

Bravo. It's not often I agree with a post on here. You are absolutely right.

Dear marinecorps
You share of your risk management. THis is good ting and very important. But, without good analitics, you can not to be rich. "Trade like a sniper" - Hurst says. Good impression. Trader shuld nderstand what he does. And understand that he has one chance to earn money. And shot in time. Without trading analisis it is impossible, i think. What about books. Yes, maybe its wrong way to get almost education. The experience is most important. But i think all traders should read some basis literature.

So rather than 5% a day let's say 1% a day equaling 5% a week. Instead of $100 to $10k in 100 days it woould be 102 weeks or two years. Not bad considering you could use the same 1% strategy on your $10k into $10 million.
