Again I care not what others think of the US. I only needed to read one or two answers to know what was coming in that Quora piece.
I am not in doubt about what true freedom is. It is not a question for me. Freedom as I see it was defined by the founding fathers of the US Constitution which was all about limiting the power of government, not empowering it. Centralized government in the US was reluctantly created. The anti-Federalists feared that even the strictest limitations on government over reach would eventually be overcome by the government itself. This has become a reality. As much as I love the US I am very concerned that our government now rules it's citizens.
