Disliked.... I didn't bring up the topic, but responding to Jen's comment but if you are singling me out for having responded, then that is fine. I guess free speech doesn't apply here? Even if somebody else is making the comment, are we not allowed to comment? I thought that is what discussion forums were for? Also for the record the argument is not pitting religion against the constitution, but merely pointing out how freedom of speech is a constitution right and that religious liberty in regards to speech is protected under 1st amendment rights, was...Ignored
DislikedIf you want to hear a little on Labournomics, click here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2017-39775693, but I warn you (especially those who require safe spaces) that this is truly uncomfortable listening. If you don't subscribe to the basic premiss that 1+1=2, don't listen to thisIgnored
Disliked{quote} As far as I am concerned you are free to express yourself in this thread, as you can see a thick skin is necessary. There are no constitutional rights for Britons. There are some Laws that state what the 'Establishment' is not allowed to do to its population (such as indefinite imprisonment without due process) but there is no Constitution. It boils down to this: in the US the assumption is that anything is permissible unless...Ignored
DislikedMr.Manhatten, I respectfully call a stop on discussing American politics based on arguments centering upon religion vs the American constitution. It is pointless. {quote} That is a complete misunderstanding of the process, which is objective focused. The objective is to win the support of the voters, the means by which this is achieved depends upon the personalities of the majority of voters and the success or otherwise of any candidate in aligning themselves with the unstated wishes of the electorate.. {quote} No problem with that... {quote} However...Ignored

Disliked{quote} Stu, careful criticising religion! You might get some pit bull sink its teeth into you and won't let go! You know me; I criticise everyone and probably most of all the UK. That's because I know it the best. But it seems like criticising America and religion is out of bounds, especially together. Jmn, I just realised what you did yesterday when you posted that funny video. You made me laugh when I was feeling the shittiest. Thanks You have a big heart.Ignored
Disliked{quote} An internet bite is toothless. There wouldn't be as much drama at FF if people got out and had a proper scrap now and again, controlled like boxing or MA etc. It's a good way to release tension.Ignored
