Would anyone like to help me get the Gbp/Usd thread on track? It's turned into just horsebetting as Cesarnc said. Those guys really need help. That's not meant aas a joke, they really do. They don't know price action and the basics of technical analysis; trendlines, fibs, PA, etc. They only say up or down. It's ridiculous.

Ash,

Excruciatingly choppy and annoying retrace on GJ

The guys on Wall Street have their head's so far up their rear-ends that they don't know which way to go. Better than expected news today, fed is less inclined to do anything to appease the markets.

Hey, I revived that thread back in mid-2007 when it was dead. And the author was MIA - we thought he was KIA already, but we were so wroooong.

I survived a number of thread hijackers during several months, the most notables were even awarded with their names in the "Cable Update Lousy Calls Hall of Fame". All of them long gone (no kidding??!??!)

But recently it was taken over by the thread's author himself, what can I say? I left!

Horsebetting? There are people out there who earn a living betting on horses, dogs. There is a popular gambling in Mississippi where people bet on what number on a boad on the floor a chicken is going to shit!

It's just not fit my personality nor my goals by participating on a forum. But it can be done. I guess

Yeah, I hear ya. I just checked the author himself is the one of the individuals calling "long", "Short", "don't know", "I'll get back to you", "wish you were here", etc.

Such a shame, I tried posting and telling everyone that not to follow calls so blindly, do your own research and analysis, etc. but no one wants to listen. well, good luck to them. When they blow there accounts, maybe then they will learn. One can only help out as much as you can.

"You can take a donkey to the water but you can't force it to drink". (yeah, I know, should have been horse but horses are smart and that would've been a grave injustice to their species so I chose donkey)

Man, cable is really wierd these days... I'm not trading it for quite some time, but I keep it on the screen to monitor my GJ trades.

I really thought the retake of 1.98 today was a juicy long to take.

Now it's about to lose the 1.97....

I am interested in how this daily candle will finish,
railroad tracks followed by a doji or shooting star plus failure to make highs could signal a reversal.
I'll just follow my system though but watching my longs very carefully

GJ can still setup a huge pin-bar on the daily (Must close above 216.38). Can be done if the stock market sustains its gains today.

On tomorrow's NFP, all bets are off... Seen too much crazyness going on around this damn data. From cooked data to reversed reaction, I just didn't see pigs flying.

3 very important events:

1- Discovery of a huge oil reserve

2- Oil Price

3- Brazilian people slowly going to the stock market. As they are not used to "risk", they choose fatass companies like Petrobras and Vale do Rio Doce (miner).

Long story short, some half of the total volume at Bovespa goes to those two companies...

The U.S. dollar pulled gently higher against the yen Thursday as players started to reverse early sales and take off some positions that have sent the U.S.

U.S. Federal Reserve policymakers recognized at last month's meeting they may need to cut interest rates yet again as the credit and housing market turmoil began to crimp consumer spending.

US manufacturing ISM index unexpectedly dropped from 50.8 to 47.7 in December.
The euro drew help against the dollar when Nymex crude oil futures touched a significant $100 a barrel late Wednesday.

Eurozone Continues to Benefit from Strong Manufacturing.
The euro is under light pressure on Thursday, but dealers and analysts are still calling for a lower dollar in coming weeks. For now, the euro has strong resistance at around $1.4800.

The Sterling (GBP) The U.K. currency dropped to the lowest in a week versus the dollar as an industry report showed manufacturing grew at a slower pace than forecast in December.
