yeah he probably has a bullseye on his head from oil. I can't wait for the u.s. to get into modern rail..

P.S. I live in an oil state. I lose some money as oil drops. But its the right thing to do. Make crap with oil. Don't burn it.

The age of oil is coming to an end. Just a few more steps in the hopscotch game will get us to elec storage technology to make large scale solar pv power feasible to supplant fossil fuels on a global scale. Zoom out and you can already see this process well underway.

That said, I will be interested in seeing what oil futures do when markets open today. Probably /CL will reverse $2 or more on uncertainty of deals @ OPEC+....

I'm really interested to see how the market plays this delay (or perhaps the market feels like it was bluffed and huge selloff?).

From a homeowners perspective in Asia (not just China), solar panels with a direct metre feed back into grid that simply reverses cost during the day rather than battery storage, payback is down to 4-5 years on the purchase cost if you know how to install! Batteries are the deal breaker but you can see that changing in homes/cars within a decade (you only have to look at the latest range of cheap e/v in UK to see the shift is coming quickly with cheap models).

That means nothing for aviation/plastics/emerging markets/etc anytime soon though, so if Gator is right about $11 oil I will be into that in a big way, mainly in the form of shares in oil companies diversifying (ie back into rdsb + bp).

I like Bill Gates, i know he's obviously a very intelligent human being, but i think he's also a very good hearted human being. A rich man with a true heart is hard to find, he does so much good around the world with his cause's and work's relentlessly to achieve his ideal's, sign of a true professional.

Incredible, Steven Soderbergh made Contagion 9 years ago and this movie is a prophecy scene by scene of what's happening now !
If you watch it you will be scared seeing how it matches the reality...

A tiger at the Bronx Zoo has tested positive for Covid-19. 6 other tigers and lions at the zoo are also showing symptoms. Believed to have been infected by an asymptomatic zoo worker. All doing well. To my knowledge, this is the first animal to test positive in the U.S

Interesting. Probably the equivalent of strapping a few tissues over your face. So a mask made from a t shirt and being worn by an infected person would assist in catching droplets being coughed by that infective person, but a t shirt mask being worn by a non infected person would offer minimal resistance to that non infected person from inhaling the virus. I say this as a paramedic. When I don PPE (personal protection equipment)to assess a possible infectious person I wear a N95 particulate mask. Once I put the mask on I pinch the metal frame over my nose to shape it to my face then take a big breath to test the seal of the mask, that it sucks at the edges ensuring inhalation is through the mask without leaks. Clearly you get none of that with a t shirt mask. If I become a patient I wear a surgical mask / droplet mask / t shirt mask if need be to prevent spreading the disease. A lot of misinformation in the community about masks. The other problem people have wearing masks is that wearing a mask leads to touching the face more often which leads to higher chance of becoming infected. Hence social distancing and hand washing best prevention
Also , when "doffing " or removing A mask it should be removed by grabbing the elastic or ties near the ears then pulling forward. Do not use hands to pull the front of the mask off your face. By grabbing the ties at the side of your head you are avoiding the " dirty / contaminated " mask. Don't touch your face, wash your hands...
One last point, in Australia medics still have N95 masks, but I see on the news in NY it looks like plenty of responders only have the surgical masks, not the N95 masks , which puts them obviously at far higher risk.
