That's the whole thing...

If we are looking to set and forget and again, as applied to an M1 strategy, knowing the entire market mood can only be done in hindsight.

Because Iresh recognizes the Medium trend for the day and has an idea of the daily trend, it always attempts to keep in this trend. For the most part, it does very well by this exact measure and only in odd circumstances will it out right fail.

Knowing when these days are going to be, near impossible...

Benefit to working with automation, if you feel the trend is going to steer long, set the EA to trade Only Longs, conversely for Shorts.

It doesn't automatically start trading those trends as the criteria of the EA must still be met, but if you have a market feel, set the EA to not trade anymore into a lengthy move.

I am not saying your ideas are not valid and if you ran the EA using the information you have provided to me by way of template, you'd see that this plays a lot more like you think than you probably imagine.

Magix, I have set the EA to trade 0.01 lots with an increment of 0.01 but it is not increasing the stakes and is trading at fixed lots of 0.01. Any ideas even though it has started really well. Thank you.

Hopefully somebody can post results from a LIVE account where SLIPPAGE has to be dealt with, in addition to all the other br0ker tricks with spread, freeze etc.

The "profit" difference between demo and live will be more than noticeable with small pip trades...almost scalping.

p.s not taking into account black swans....that's another story altogether.

Perhaps the OP can do this?

I have switched to Incremental and set to 0.01. I am having the same issues as the other guys by the looks of things it is not multiplying. Unless I am missing something.
