DislikedDoes anyone take a guess about UJ near future?
My guess is,
(1) if QE2 is much less than expected, UJ keeps climbing slowly and eventually reach 83.00 area in 2-3 weeks. Of course no JP intervention will happen.
(2) if QE2 is big enough to weaken USD very much, UJ may come down to 78-79.00. Then, it bounces to 80-81 area in a week or so -- No intervention. If UJ stays 78-79 for more than a week, JP may intervene, bringing it up to 83-85 area.
What is your guess?Ignored
DislikedThat's actually a pretty accurate description of what I would expect.
Situation (3) - Shoots up for a few hundreds pips because of "something".Ignored
QuoteDislikedBoJ could well intervene tonight (Jpn out on holiday on Wed) just as ECB intervened during the Nov 2000 election recount fiasco
