You shouldn't be too bothered about whether the news has positive or negative results, what you should focus on is how the market reacts to the release.
There are times where banks have already factored in the news and you think for the life of you that the market should be move one way but sometimes it doesn't and often goes the other way.
Another issue is that there could be specific data within the release which institutions are looking at. The general result may be contrary to specific data within the release so the market may go one way when you think it should go the other.
Banks also manipulate the markets to get a better price for themselves.
There are more reasons why trading the news is very hard. Personally I don't care about the results, I just want to see how the markets react to it!.
