I'm not trying to get too broad on you here, but seriously... One can become wealthy doing whatever they put their mind to with enough tenacity. I don't believe that most people can "get" wealthy. Rich, yes... However, people who wake up rich not knowing what happened will usually wake up broke another day not knowing what happened.

If you look strictly at probability, then yes one can become extremely wealthy in the spot foreign exchange markets. However, control of greed and fear will be a major factor to one's individual success. Also, learning from one's own mistakes (whether they beget loss OR profit) is key from what I have learned. Managing risk might arguably be the most important element to becoming wealthy in the FX markets.

Anyone can make money. Not everyone can keep it!

Why not "Chop Suey" for the USD/CNY (chinese yuan)?

Well, actually chop suey was invented in America, not China

It's a corruption of " tsa sui" which in Cantonese means "odds and ends" i.e., leftovers. At the end of the day, 19th century Chinese restaurants in San Francisco would gather the leftovers , mix them together as "chop suey" and sell them to the "gwei lo " ( white barbarians, to put it politely)

Way back when they used a transatlantic "cable" to send data, info, prices, etc.from LDN to NY

see my earlier for the map of the "cable"

Fibre or Fiber is a retail nickname used for Euro due to the fact that it is a new currency which in turn uses "fiberoptics"!!

or in these days satellites!

LOONIE is the nickname for a 1 dollar CAD coin. Or just one CAD there is no paper note anymore.
Toonie is the nickname for the 2. I have both and will try to post a Loonie
Was there (CANADA) recently, went to Kitco as well and they only accept USD for Gold.... OH where it comes from is ONE CAD is a LOON, that's what the money is called there.

Canadian English, like American English, uses the slang term "buck" for a dollar. (This term is Canadian in origin; it derives from a coin struck by the Hudson's Bay Company during the 17th century with a value equal to the pelt of a male beaver - a "buck".[4]) Because of the appearance of the common loon on the back of the dollar coin that replaced the dollar bill in 1987, the word "loonie" was adopted in Canadian parlance to distinguish the Canadian dollar coin from the dollar bill. When the two-dollar coin was introduced in 1996,...

Some of us refer to GBP/JPY as "The Beast," because, if he rears his ugly head, and you are not on your toes, he will eat you alive.
