Billytt Die happy trading e/j daily breakout

we have thousands of People selling/telling us how to trade profitable and look at the stats showing how many retail traders lose.
A massive amount lose, that is because what these people selling/telling us is all wrong.

The market makers go through every combination going, to screw up trading methods, ie, breakout/retrace traders.

One day the breakout /retrace works and then it fails,, Lets throw in a few false breakouts <<<<< i hate that term.

Inside bar breakout is very good method, then they screw around with the Range of the break, many people are greedy looking for big run, while others like me take a few points.
We just need to follow the market makers.

I have placed this short entry but having followed no plan i consider it as a bad trade i should not have placed at all. This time it was profitable, next time i am placing a trade based on nothing than by gut feel, i get stopped out again like 10 times in a row...

So that's what i mean by having no clear defined limits in advance i will then either find my self in so called over trading or simply wasting a lot of time while watching price ticking up or down a chart not being able to come to a final decision to enter a trade at all.

I used a -10 Pips stop loss again and trailed my stop once it gave me a chance. For sure it got stopped out by the trailed stop instead of reaching the actual 2R target.

I don't think that's a good plan that will make me become a consistent profitable trader, scalping on gut feel without limits either than having something fixed or having blowed up my account.

I agree with you that 99% of the information on trading is total nonsense. I still find it funny that they still say "all these plans are working" its only you making it not profitable and bla bla bla. Give me a plan i will execute it 1:1, let's find out. But at best you then get plans like "well maybe do this, maybe that, draw a trendline there, leave out a trade on monday and friday, look at the news, loook at that".

It's simply not possible to make such plan objectively repeatable so you could even compare results by two different traders trading the same plan and come to an conclusion if it is really not profitable or the trader making it not profitable because of his/her/it discipline to not follow exactly the rules.

And another one. Buy stop above the two candles which were creating longer wicks to the bottom. This time it reached my 2R target but i also haven't trailed my stop on it. Almost reached to the +5% profit target now for 10 days period given but this evening it will be over. Executed 5 trades, lost 1. Normally it's the other way around :-)

Having placed 5 trades in 10 days, over-trading or becoming greedy is probably not one of my issues. However, I would call it stupid luck while having gambled but definitely not having followed a plan, so it's worthless.

Anyhow. I am off for the weekend. I will be also chilling on my 120-Meter Superyacht (I can say that, its ForexFactory and i have nothing to proof, you have to believe)

Well it it isn’t as easy as it sounds in theory.

Having a small target and the discipline to stop is the easy part.

It isn't as easy as it sounds. But having a plan is the secret. These days I just trade the GBPUSD and more recently back on GER40. Mainly trade the European, UK, USA opens.

Ger 40 could be interesting open.

Hi claudia.. i read all forum,, i know you trade GU sometimes.. with the breakout bar 7.45..
whe i run my EA just to see if strategy works, i notice sometimes hit a lot of Stoploss.. i try to understand what filter you use, or if you do sometime else to trade..
can you explain me better please?
