Hi, I decided to start this thread because I think that the Ichimoku Kinko Hyo can be very confusing for someone. An especially when you insert it into a minute or 1 hour charts price because there is often in the range, and then gives a very bad signal. In my, this indicator should be used only on the charts from H4 ++ .. I'm not here for a description of each component indicators that because I think that with him most of you have already met. .

Personally, I focus on one row to pierce the cloud and Chick span S / R and if the Chik is above or under the Kumo ..
And im not going to publish a real Explorer so i make a new demo with the same trades like at live account . What u can confirm with the images if u dont belive me
But this is not my only system which i using. I´m also using PriceAction without any indicator for trading ..



And if my english is bad im really sorry but i'm learning only 2 years. :-)....

.... Trade demonstration ...

We see a kumo breakout point A .. So we wait untill the Lagging line broke under Kumo point D .. When that happen we should chek the leading kumo for confirmation as u can see is Bearish as well .. THen we open our short when the price have crossed the last CHikou span Support - point C . SL moved above last candle which open and then closed inside the cloud .
Then as you can see the price have traded for a long time in sideways but at point E we see a TK/KJ Sen cross and that is a strong signal so you can open your second trade and once again at point F ..

And as u can see u can hold the trade untill now ..

First trade at this thread : Allready opened at Live Account .. I´m going to open it at Demo when the market opens . A potentional PT at fibo 161,8

Nice to see an Ichimoku thread

First question: Do you also check the higher TF?
I mean, on weekly, NZDCAD is still bullish but also inside the cloud and under the kijun as well as the chikou - not ideal, is it?

I like Ichimoku too and i have real account in admiral too so keep it i use ichimoku like you and it works as i see :0 so keep it

Yep i had checked the W1 and if i see the price inside the cloud and chickou still above cloud and the support level at the kumu bottom .. I dont expect any change of the trend direction . But the price could move sideways :-) But normalli i dont look too much to Weekly or Monthly because i think that daily charts is the ideal TF for this systém :-) But of course like always the price can go aggaints me .. But and that is the biggest + of ichi is the RRR

Admiral markets only problém with connection atc.. But for long term i have got 2 brokers so i dont care so much :-)

I'm a bit sad to not see more pleople using Ichimoku. For my point of view it's one of the most amazing system existing for trading on the markets. Each time I see a topic on Ichi I hope for a lot of replies but that's not really the case.
Ichimoku is not just an indicator, but a total system, showing support and resistance, trend, bying and selling signals. The difficulty is, that you need to learn about this system, and to understand it clearly. It's not just buy and sell arrow in green and red. But at the end you can make really nice pips.

I have study now Base Ichi but without Tenkan Sen and Kijun sen ... But with CCI set on 50

Your trade system can be used on timeframe H1 or H4?
I trade Ichimoku... been on it fo about 6 months

i like it a lot.. its a full system.. keeps me out o the market more than in.. so keep s my money safe.

regarding time frames.. i only trade one time frame.. i might look at higher ones for potential resistance lines.. but i only trade tie one (4h) time frame... and then just use the Kijun as my stop loss...
get the meat of the move.. rinse and repeat
ichimoku , my favourite strategies 4 in 1 tool set , for now I'm just using ichimoku to be focus , for TF 1H up to Daily to reduce false signal
what ever it takes
5 in 1 if you ue the chikou span !

Lotta false crossovers with Ichimoku...especially with Forex. I wouldn't say it's worthless, but I wouldn't use it. But consider this is coming from a person who loathes all indicators in general, except for the ATR, which actually is quite useful for setting intraday profit targets.

Yep lot of false if u use it intraday .. For long term is ideal and if u use a chikou span for confirmation (filter) the number of those fallse crossovers will reduce ..
