{quote} Let me ask you something. If you play poker and you hold two Kings and don't see an Ace on the table, how confident do you fell? But how about when you hould 3 and 8 and see two Queens on the table. Do you fell less confident? Or let's say you want to bet on the World Cup. You see that Holland plays Mexico, you will probably go for Holland and feel pretty safe when betting money on them. But when Holland plays Germany you are not too sure about the outcome and would play it more safe. (In fact, maybe you should bet on Germany and feel relatively...

Here is the first draft. Probably it could have been solved smarter but oh well, it works.

The red fields can be edited, the others should be left alone. Amazing what happens when you play with the numbers.
Suggestions appreciated!

Good Morning traders!

My Aussie short went straight to my TP. The Cable Short is still running. I have been taking partial profits along the way and pulled my SL to protect the position. And tonight there is going to be the German soccer game. Not a bad start to the week...

Hi Baccarat,

sorry for not updating within the last few days. I have been taking some days off. The trade performance in the last few weeks has been so good that I decided to take a week off and enjoy Bangkok a bit. But then, some street food must have gotten me and now I lay flat. But will update tomorrow with a new video! cheers

It has been a while. First I just wanted to take a few days off due to very nice trading performance and enjoy some of my pips. Then some food poisoning hit me hard and I spent 1 day in hospital and several days unable to do everything. Yesterday, I did my monthly visa-run to Singapore and today I am back in Bangkok and back to trading!

I just got in a GBP/USD short trade that went to my first target where I took off 80%. I had a 12 pip SL and a 23 pip first target whichis an intraday demand zone.

From Sunday on, I will record my videos again!

Update: After some struggling audjpy made it to TP.

This beauty was taken yesterday and made straight to TP. This is exactly the kind of the reaction you want. Big bullish candles straight into the Supply Zone

Hi Rolf

You do know you can get tourist visas before entering Thailand that gives 60 days and a possible 30 day extension without the need to do border runs.

Just go to a Thai consulate/embassy in another country with passport to apply.

Hi mate!

Im not trader_rolf though I might attempt to answer your question.
What is a Supply/Demand zone? --> A zone where we anticipate buyers / sellers.

My personal beliefs are the following:
1) Price trades in a range. This creates the value area (VA), and the POC (point of control) --> price is accepted by everybody they it does not move much. If a bank/ firm or anybody want to trade they trade at this price. Since price is agreed by everybody it's easier to trade higher volumes, which is essential for big players.
2) Price breaks out. FAST! --> This has 2 consequences:
a) There are people who are trapped there. These people (if they didn't puke due to the move) will try to cover at BE --> thus when price returns they will close their trades. (If they were trapped with long, then when price comes up, to their trade from the down-break they will close their trade which will be a short!
b) I believe that the huge players dont execute their oders at once. i.e. A fund gets an order to sell 2000 lots at the 6A (AUDUSD) - they cant just dump all 2000lots at once... No, they slowly sell at the value area. (Which I discussed above.) So when price is in a small range - these big guys are already selling and selling and selling.
But what happend if news come out or a break? They wont sell at a prcie which is 80 pips under... They will also wait til price comes back again, and then they try to sell at high prices.

So our job is to determine the ValueArea or the zones where hogh volume was traded and was left very fast.
I prefer using 4H or 1H charts. I also put up a MarketProfile on my chart, that deretmines the POC (usually my entry.)

Hope this helps.
Stephen

I bought this new notebook here in Bangkok last week and I just had to find out that the microphone is not working The price was just too good to be true I guess

So for today, I'll just upload 3 screenshots of the most interesting pairs going into the next week. Loonie, Aussie and Kiwi. These 3 pairs are by far my most favorite pairs at the moment and they have great levels that you should put on your charts.

Wishing you all a good trading week.

Rolf

Hi!

Hopefully I will be able to post some charts during the week.
But if I can give you a hint it would be this:
Only learn the basics from others - like the setup etc, and then back-test it for yourself. You will realize that this "set-up" has it's own criteria (i.e. when to trade and when not to). And then make your out system out of it.
I did just so - i checked 3months data of 3-4 pairs/equities and now I have a little list to help me if it's a setup worth to take or not.

For example I realized that if price came near a S/D zone (but didn't trigger my entry) and then fall back, then most of the time I better take out my limit order.
Or: The trade should reach my FTA in 5 hours etc etc. You will only learn these if you back-test it for yourself.

Cheers,
Stephen

Edit:

During the backtesting also look back on the news. Otherwise in many cases you will think that the setup or your system works like a charm, however in the reality price stalled at your entry and then shot off in "your good" direction only because of the news. And dont forget - news are a 50-50 thing...
