Which strategy are you referring to specifically?

My own personal trade style is somewhat a mixture of a lot of the EAs I have released and on these, I allow the EA to do the triggering and take profits when I think the markets are changing or hitting into support and resistance ranges. Each of these here and through the OBOS thread have their own specific merits and it is through the wide array of different tools used that does lend some information to the individual user.

It is quite possible to find a trade copier software that will work with other trade terminals and charting software.

IE, the EA would run and take trades on a demo MT4 account and the software would clone the trades to other platforms and accounts. This might be the easiest option to explore, or simply let me know which of the strategies makes the most amount of sense to you, and I will see if I can provide a solid foundation by visual and explanation for you to work with.

Thanks for your quick response Magix. Any strategy of your EAs but that only use standard indicators like RSI, Stoch.

Sorry for my terrible english.

God bless you!

The Christmas EAs, in the primary releases, worked similar to what you will find in the Genesis Matrix trading thread HERE (http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=373796).

In fact, it was through Real Jumper and his thread that I found the multiple time frame Stocastics indicator that is included with the original package.

You can either browse through his thread or you can view the idea in the ReadMe that was included with the package.

The hardest part of working with this manually will be adding the grid into it. But, as long as you can draw in horizontal lines for the size of grid that you prefer to work with, it will just be a matter of taking a trade and cost averaging in the same that the EA does.

Appreciate that the use of the Strategy Tester, or to gain back test results, it takes the ideas we feed and applies them to historical data. Using these forward will be exactly the same as you would test, again, just may be a little harder as the EA calculates profit and cost average areas automatically...it will be a lot more work in a manual trade application.

That being said, if you choose to apply this logic to the longer timeframes, you can get greater ranged trades and help to minimize the amount of draw down because the triggering will be a lot slower on larger timeframes that will be found on the M1s.

One of the better trade strategies that I do work with is still the OBOS triggering and all of the indicators and set up are available in the OBOS thread. Run the EA in the strategy tester, delete all objects and customize the chart the way you find visually suitable. From there, save it as a template and work with it. This may prove to be the easier of the triggering strategies as it uses the Derivative Oscillator and is an excellent visual representation of above and below zero for triggering possibilities.

In this, you may find more opportunities trading the AUDUSD pair as it was the most active under regular pre-sets and this applied to the M1 chart will provide enough entertainment to keep you alert as well as a high enough win rate to keep you in the good.

Magix,

I have a problem with Christmas 2. It has not taken a single trade today... I knew there was something wrong as it had not taken any trades by NYO (the screenshot shows an example trade on EURAUD it should have taken, the time is GMT+2).

I then removed all the EAs, loaded them again, and restarted the platform. All smiley faces, but still no trades by now. The settings I am using this week are:

AU, EU, NU, EA, EJ, UCHF
Autoprofit=false
TrailingStop=15
TPinMoney=4.0
MAs: 60/240
everything else at default

Maybe it doesn't like the 60/240 combination

I have TDI_TOE running on the same platform/different account, and no problems there.

Any solution would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I have FINALLY sorted out the updating of myfxbook, choosing the Auto Update option instead of Myfxbook EA which did not work as expected.

Sorry for the confusion, Magix. This link (http://www.myfxbook.com/members/kosmo) is up to date with the following systems:

Follow the Leader (FTL_G): M5/default
PA (FTL_M): M15/default
TDI_TOE (TDI)
Christmas 2 (X_2)

When ever there appears to be issues with any of the EAs, the best and easiest thing to do is run them in the strategy tester.

First under default and then under your custom settings.

If they don't run under default, there is a Journal Tab. Here is where you will see if there are any issues.

If there are no trades, look here for errors.
If there are trades, try with custom settings.

I too have had issues with creating almost impossible settings with these so they only trade a couple times per week/month.

Not saying that's a bad thing, just if it doesn't confirm with your idea of how they are and should work, adapt them to when they make sense. Reviewing the charts in the strategy tester can help you see where you can improve on the triggering logic by adjusting the indicator settings.

If you are still not getting trades and there are errors, post them in thread. I will have an easier time sorting from there.

Must have had a bit of a power glitch whilst out Christmas shopping today. Came home and my PC was down, leaving all trades to fend for themselves on waiting for the retrace.

Even with the glitch and on a day when the market beat the living shit out of almost everything else I have running...

Follow the Leader SWB isn't actually looking too bad.

I knew we were in for some rocky roads, might well test these bitches and see how bad or good they can be with some aggressive settings.

Thanks, Magix. Just by looking at the charts, there were at least 1-2 trades today on every pair I run with the EA, so the 60/240 setting should trigger, but I will play with the strategy tester tomorrow, and report back. Learning, learning...

They were added, they didn't update, so I pushed the button that said, update by EA.

The information got scrambled somehow, and now myfxbook doesn't like the credentials.

I've had this happen before, will just wait until tomorrow...

I'm half in the bag, and kinda tired....

I feel nappy time coming on, real quick like!
