Hi,

Thanks for your questions.

cTrader and MT4 have some differences in the way they platforms are setup which enables cTrader to plug into the liquidity providers in a different way. This also enables the ability to see genuine market depth.

You will often find that the ThinkForex cTrader has slightly better spreads than the MT4 pro spreads. Something to also consider is that on cTrader all accounts are subject to commission on top of the spreads from 0.1 pip, whereas on MT4 you either have an account with commission charged and spreads from 0.2 pips or you have a standard account with spreads from 0.8 pips and no commission.

If you'd like some more information, please give us a call and we'll help you out.

Cheers,
Chris

Hi subashr,

Thanks for your question. yes, we do offer mini contracts on metals letting people trade from very small sizes now which gives some flexibility as well as suiting smaller traders who may be looking to get started.

We do of course have partnership programs available - you can sign up for an IB or affiliate program or if you just want to refer a few friends, we have a program for that - click here for more information.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Chris

Hi (anonymous) Think Forex Team,

I see on 07/04/14 a change of address took place, on 28/07/14 TF Global had a 'restructure of sorts' and on 06/08/14 TF Global had 'Pds In-Use Notice - By Body Corporate (FS88B)' which usually means a sale has taken place.

I see there is no longer links/ties to the address in Sydney.

Is this another of Chris's startups and sell offs? For the sake of any new client signups, would you like to address any of the above?

I see the push to 'The Website' to attract the interest of new clients and to remain totally anonymous. Do you think 'website design' is enough for clients to hand over their hard earned dollars to an anonymous deregistered company? This appears to be a very naive approach.

And this:

Cogs, what are you talking about ? Your attachment is concerning a company called "69 PTY LTD" which seems to be totally unrelated to ThinkForex.

ThinkForex seems to be in good standing:

EDIT: Ok, I found the documents you are talking about, but as you have to pay to access them, I didn't read them. What's the "69 PTY LTD" company ? A company something has been transfered to ? New shareholder ?

Hi Mevo,

That's what it comes up with when searching their registers, else you have to do a specific ABN search to get the TF Glogal details.

Even your details shows an address in Chifley Tower, Sydney, MAIN BUSINESS LOCATION, 'Principle Place of Business', which is actually the same location as BT Financial, City Index, Investec, Morgan Stanley, SMBC, who are they tied up with? although their business operations may now be in Melbourne as their website states, what are/were their origins? Are they still affiliated? The public has a right to know, particularly those handing over cash. I was hounded and hounded to deposit money with them after sign up, suddenly nothing (at bloody last).

Chris used to be right on top of these questions, my guess he has now on sold the company like Go markets after he established that and others. I know what direction Go went.

I am just carrying out due dilligence what anyone should do before they hand over their hard earned cash. And why no reply from the anonymous yet?

Honesty and transparency please. Australia used to be renowned for this.

Hi Guys,

These are certainly some interesting posts and questions, and to be honest a lot of it makes no real sense to me.

Firstly, about this comment:

I was never the owner of GO Markets, nor did I ever have any equity in the company. I was a director and an employee. I had no involvement in any sale of that company and I resigned from there back in November 2011.

Similarly, I am a director and an employee at ThinkForex (TF Global Markets (Aust) Pty Ltd). I am not an owner or shareholder.

To be honest I wish I had owned and sold a couple of FX brokers - I'd probably have a bit more cash than I do now. Feel free to petition my owners to give me some shares in the company - I'll gladly take them!

Anyway, ignoring all that stuff about me as an individual, the company...

There has been no change of ownership, the owners of this company are the same as they have been since the day it was formed. The extract from a deregistered company called 69 PTY LTD I have no idea what that is, or where you have found that - it has nothing to do with ThinkForex.

Our company, TF Global Markets (Aust) Pty Ltd, is registered under ABN 69 158 361 561 which you will easily be able to view on the ASIC register. Just search for "TF Global" and you should see us at the top of the list.

As for the recent documents that you highlight, we issued a new PDS, which had a couple of minor tweaks - you can view it here. I can confirm it had nothing to do with a sale of the company, and that I am certainly still involved - it was me that edited and lodged the PDS with ASIC!

As for the changes to share structures, well it is just that - a change. Companies often change their share structure, it doesn't mean we have been sold or anything like that.

Obviously I encourage anyone to do the necessary due diligence before trading with any provider, but I'm not sure what you are specifically looking for, although if you want to call me directly, or even visit me in our offices, I'll gladly have a chat.

I'm happy to answer any questions completely honestly - you probably remember that from when I was active on these forums a few years ago. There would be no point lying, especially about the company formation - as you can easily get the documents through the ASIC site for a few dollars.

Just to confirm, our office is at Level 11, 636 St Kilda Road, Melbourne, VIC 3004.

Cheers,
Chris

Thanks for clearing that up Chris.

So no affiliation back to the Sydney address "Principle Place of Business' as stated on the business register?

I'm not sure exactly what register is giving that result above, but I can assure our business address and registered address is Level 11, 636 St Kilda Road, Melbourne.

Without paying, I don't think you can see specifics, but you can see the locality is Melbourne, Vic, 3004:

What I would say is that when companies are being setup they will often use the registered address of the lawyers or accountants assisting with the setup and then change it at a later date. I was not at the company until April 2013, so I cannot say definitively if this was the address of either of our lawyer or accountant. I do know that it was I that filed the notice for the change of registered address once we moved into our current headquarters though!

Thanks,
Chris
