DislikedYiasou Erebus, where would i be able to find the "turtle trading channel" indicator?Ignored
DislikedHow do you set the Ea up to get it to trail the stop by 100 pips? I looked in the properties and entered 3 in the TS method , is that all I have to do or is there other adjustments that must be made? ThanksIgnored
DislikedThank you for this thread! As a new trader I have lots of question. I know it is tough on the seasoned to keep answering the same questions over and over. I've been slapped a couple of times for asking a dumb question. For me I thought it was good question. Don't know what I don't know. I am reading and learning as fast as I can but sometimes I am just missing something from what I am reading. It maybe answered later but some of these threads have thousands of posts. I have no questions today but thank you again for giving us less seasoned traders...Ignored
Disliked{quote} ABSOLUTELY I have been watching this for sure, comparing all 3 methods I may commission TCO to program an EA for me using the Turtle Channel as the trend filter on the Daily chart And still use the W%R on the 1 Hour chart as trade entry trigger You can easily apply both to your charts, as I have in the examples below I highlighted the price area below the 20/50, then zoomed in on the 1 Hour to see the W%R The 20/50 EMA method here gives a 100 to 150 pip better entry, depending on the settings, but Turtle is pretty safe entry No...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Absolutely, manual entry is great, use it if you are more comfortable; especially if you need to control your risk by limiting your number of positions and are able to monitor the charts during Europe & going into USA opens. One thing that was suggested was to have the EA running but in the settings, have it ask for confirmation; you can control whether or not the trade is taken or not. Also, set the EA to smallest position size, 0.01 probably, in case 1 gets past you, or you may just open it like that as a "feeler" trade with minimum...Ignored
Disliked{quote} -------------------------------- Erebus: hi! How to print this screen image? Was trying to print EA's setfiles screen image, unable to do it. Searched in Google, can't find the proper indicator/script. Thanks in advance. Regards, rswamyIgnored
DislikedIf the max positions on a pair are opened, when will the EA start opening again: a) when 1 closes? b) when all close? Will the EA open positions in the opposite direction (macd change), if there are still positions runing? If I have 4 positions max and have opened 2 manualy, then I turn on the EA, will it open anoher 2 or 4?Ignored

Disliked{quote} Thanks for the tips, but......................... OMG !!!! Is that your screen? You do know you can drag the toolbars at the top to form just a single row, and you don't need the MACD on the 1 Hour chart Sorry if I'm a bit OCDC....... Tidy charts, tidy analysis good to see the markets taking a bit of turn backIgnored
Disliked{quote} I'm using SnagIt http://www.techsmith.com/snagit-gslp...FWVMpgodYmEA6g Bought it long ago, probably time to update but it has way more features than I use now You can also Right Click on the chart and "Save As Picture" try that first, see if you like itIgnored
Disliked{quote} Thanks for the thankful comments, I like my toolbars as they are, all in a group, ergonomics and all that, The daily chart and the hour chart interchange with the indis on the screen, so the indis remain on the screen whatever the Timeframe...!! One thing I would like to improve is the dashboard layout, there is some writing, shapes and stuff all on top of each other, any tips ..?? Cheers, SIgnored
Disliked{quote} ----------------------------- Erebus: hi! Thank you for the Snagit source, will buy the trial version. By right click, yes I can save the pictures, though was unable to do it-- the image of set files etc. Thank you! Regards, rswamyIgnored
Disliked{quote} The daily chart and the hour chart interchange with the indis on the screen, so the indis remain on the screen whatever the Timeframe...!! I do not understand this comment - you are in charge of the software, you tell MT4 what Indicators to display when & where, simple as that See the picture for example Third Screen Strategy uses MACD on Daily chart, Williams % Range on 1 Hour chart Saves confusion, computer processing and much easier to see price data if chart is as large as can be YMMV {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} O.K. I get what you are saying, "keep the relevant indi on the appropriate timeframe..." thanks DAILY CHART WITH MACD 1 HOUR CHART WITH WILLIAMS%R My TOOLBAR is in a nice straight row too...!!!! I am going to straighten all the tins in my cupboards now...honest.... Did you know that you have all the screengrab tools on your keyboard as I described, or was I stating the obvious...???
