Hi CNTrader, Thanks for all the educational charts. How many pairs/time frames do you usually watch?

Using the same lines, but different angle for figuring the PRZ, AUDUSD should go further up, and lightly test the top (if it plans to go down anyways).

{quote} OK cool at least you learned something well done. I would tweak your trade plan slightly without knowing the details of it entirely and suggest that in regards to the TL that should tell you something. Again I dont want to turn this thread into a training thread so all I will say is, if you are putting your stops at a TL you are just begging the dealer to hit it. How often do you see a TL get a false Break then rip in the other direction. Trend lines get violated and tested all the time without it being able to sustain....

Fair point on the TL stop, but for a pattern such as a Gartley placing a stop above the X (for this trade we're talking about) is good enough risk for me IF I had taken it again . I wouldn't risk more than I could swallow. Other times if the risk (pips) is too much, I will drill down to smaller tf for better entry and exits. So not all gartley patterns traded exactly the same. Besides every trader is different even if you have the same set of rules, you tweet them to your personality. It's working so far, why fix something that is not broken...right??(statement, not question..lol)...

I love my analysis Now i predict it will go down and be at a low at the exact date i predicted it would be at a high! lols.... well in any case my analysis will now always be consistent because now i have rules (well... almost there) for each skill involved.

On the positive side. I predict a completion of a 61.8 abcd pattern which makes much more sense to me. bwahahaha atleast the dates are the same!

edit: as we can see, moving down to the lower daily timeframe provides similar analysis. as long as it goes up to the price on monday - tuesday, i am happy and I will buy a put on this stock down to ~$15....

Yes been watching similar setups on the yen pairs.

However, would you mind elaborating on your Gartley rules?

My understanding is B has to be 61.8 amd D should be 78.6. I understand different people have different rules.

In fact, was watching this pattern on GJ. but ended up not taking it as it pierced 78.6. Did take UJ as it has a butterfly as support.

Hey Scott, no I won't elaborate on my rules as I think its necessary for everyone to develop their own based on their own research and development. I think its great that you have your own and have had the discipline to either enter or avoid trades based on whether they meet your criteria. I will say this however for me, in this particular trade set up and decision to enter, a piercing through is absolutely irrelevant to me. If you look at my chart more carefully you can probably see multiple reasons for getting involved as I have somewhat spelled it out lol. Also why not scroll up to a 1hr TF and have a look their as well. Remember price behavior along with a confluence of other things is what gets me involved in a trade. So I won't just give you the answer but I will encourage you to look a little more carefully to find the answer. Please refer back to post 1 of the thread for what this thread is not meant to be. I hope this helps and that you are not offended. You have been a great contributor and hope you will continue to stop by and contribute.

Ok thanks for the reply. I do understand why you took the trade and I almost did. Just curious on your Gartley rules as they seem different but I also understand page 1.

I did take the UJ trade which has a similar set up but better structure imo.

Keep up the good work.

GM Traders, target 2 attained over night. This week should be interesting and dangerous all in one. High impact news events on wednesday that could and probably will set the stage for the USD for the summer months. So needless to say exercise caution.
