Is it a Bat... or is it a Double Bat ?
Ignored
I have not taken the time to measure it out but to answer your question, there is no such thing as a double Bat. It is very common to see patterns within patterns and if your fibs are correct they compliment each other very well. This confluence at C of the bigger Bat offers a high probability trade long at C to D completion. You can then short D. Really take advantage of the pattern.

I don't really use the terms main or dominant when referring to swings.
This Monthly perspective is just a pattern potential that my eye picked out while reviewing monthly charts for my year-end analysis... and just was sharing with your group... the points identified are valid from a fibo perspective.

Also, my apologies for the term "Double Bat".
As Mr. Pip has stated: "A pattern within a pattern" is the correct way to identify it.

I guess after all the time I spent learning and studying these patterns, I just began to nickname specific setups as they repeat themselves over and over again...

The B point has retraced above 0.500 so IMO we are watching a Gartley forming.

I've been reading this thread since the beginning, and its quite apparent to me there are some on here who are already miles ahead of me... Bats, etc... Obviously I have no clue how to identify them yet. One question for Mr. Pip concerning your swings on page 3. How far back do you usually look on your charts? Like in the chart I've posted below, would the main swing start from Nov. 16th to Dec. 12th with the dominate swing from Dec. 12th to Dec. 26th? Or if you brought it in for a closer look, like I did in the second chart, would Dec. 12th...

Hey Nate,

I promise we will all end up on the same page. You are ashort step away from being able to identify the swings. Don’t sweat it I will always take the time to make sure everyone understands. Ask the questions you need to ask no question is too elementary and they are all welcomed.

The proper answer is as long as it takes. In strong trends you will see extended swings. They are not any more or less reliable on time but more on the ratios. Your swing analysis is correct and to show you some harmonics within the main swing there was an ABCD. They guide us through price action. Harmonics are everywhere.

Looks okay but make sure you include the tails. From here we are in the process of qualifying a Gartley or an ABCD. Time will tell.

Yes D will complete the ABCD and the Gartley I already posted the chart. What will invalidate this premise? What will have to happen to validate our analysis? Anyone want to take a shot at it?

This is not necessarily true. Point D depends on how deep point C goes review the first video I posted it will help clear this up.
