How to change my timezone in MT4

Just curious if anyone knows if it is possible to chance the time to my time zone on the MT4 charts in GMT +8 as it shows on it know
as far as i know you cannot...
i'm very dissapointed that they have not incorporated this option into this new version...
there should be an option in settings to change between local time & server time...
this really sucks and is very annoying...
i heard that you can't either. supposedly they need to use the same time as the datafeed server, but c'mon, can't they just allow users to convert the time?

the only solution is to have a time zone converter printed by your computer or simply get good at converting in real quick in your head (i know this is all common sense...just trying to help)
i found a great indicator on the ff which shows a dashed vertical line with the name of the exchange for that line so you can see easily what the pairs do at different openings. see attached pic. i think it is called Market Panel Display Controller.

Indeed, there is no such option in MT4. The Market watch is synchronized with the Server time of the Broker. And if I have to be honest, it looks really pointless to have such option.
hi im using mt4 demo acct im wondering is there any chance i can expand my lot sizes all the currencies are limited to 100 lots and gold is limited to 50 lots any way to change this limits?

If those are the maximum ticket sizes set by your broker, then no, there is no chance you could increase them.

Couldn't you just put multiple trades in?

When you put it like this, then yes, you could. But I believe facade1984 was asking about maximum lots per single trade.

Long story short - the maximum is the maximum. But if you are trading that kind of volume, perhaps your broker can put you on a different feed. Surely they will be happy to accomodate for you.

I need help. How do i change thr price line on the charts to Candles....I've tried "Alt+2" it refuced, clicked on the Candles sticks on the bar it still didn't work. Some change but others have completely refused. I prefer Candle sticks
Yes, I know ,MT4 is one of the most used platforms and is suitable for the traders who are particularly newcomers. I still have not checked MT5 through but from what I’ ve heard , it will have more functions and more instruments are available for trading . Basically it would be much better than MT4. Anyone has any experience about MT5?
In order to my trading experience, I think MT4 and MT5 are the same but MT4 is not the basic because MT5 is basic too, also MT4 and MT5 build from scratch and with different programming language , so that is why there is no MT5 backward compability with MT4, thus MT4 seems like independent and original.

If you're talking about MT4, go to the drop down menus at the top, pick View->Toolbards->Standard and it will open a menu with buttons under the drop down menus. Among those buttons are ones that switch between a price line, candlesticks and bars.
According to my trading experience my vote goes to Meta trade 4. There is no doubt that MT4 is way more powerful than any other trading platform. It has way too many resources compared to other platforms and very easy to use. Since beginning I am used to using MT4.
mukai, there are also icons along the top of your mt4 platform which allow you to change from candles, smooth line, or the bar chart.

In Fx trading , so many trader using MT4 , but last few month there are certain news which metaquotes will stopped development for MT4 and will focus on MT5, but don’t now for sure, if this happen and MT4 no longer available hence as trader must convent to MT5.
