I don't know what do you think about this, but as mentioned on another thread, I think that it would be great to have a thread specially dedicated to PIN bar notifications, this will allow us to share PIN bars detected, so that we can analyze them and after that, and only after that enter on those trades or not under our own responsibility.


If you agree with this, we can open another thread dedicated to 4H PIN bars.

I have recently subscribed to the James 16 chats, but it seems to me that it is a little surprising that there appears to be no active trading room for discussions like this. Trading talk in real time. Is there a reason why there isn't?

Trading talk goes on constantly, in the dedicated pair threads, countless journals

If you mean signals given by James that isn't what the forum is about, if you mean discussing potential trades with other members and such, this goes on everyday
Daily Pin on GbpJpy off of the 50 fib of the correction from 3/2/07 low and the 7/20/07 high.

A look at the daily pin on the 4hr/weekly chart. The yellow line is the 21 ema which serves as a short term r/s level.

EurJpy daily pin off of the 50.0 fib retracement of the low of 3/2/07 and the 7/13/07 daily high.

Here is how the eurjpy daily pin looks on the 4hr/weekly

NzdJpy Strong Pin off of the long term 50.0 fib of 3/6/ 07 low and 7/24/07. Is currently at 88.22 which is strong historical Resistance and also support level. Bias up, trade long with a break above 88.95 Friday’s high and a resistance level from mid April to the end of May. The NzdJpy has a (DAR) daily average range of 118pips and a (WAR) weekly average range of 252.

Nice pin bar formed on the daily g/u with price bouncing off 50% fib retrace from last upmove.

Weekly g/u formed a bearish outside bar, so weekly and daily appear to be giving opposite signals.

Price action seems to be indicating an up move for Monday but a down move for the week.

Descending triangle may limit the initial upside move.

Please comment.

looks to have a long nose but the closing price seems just a little shy of the left eye. i,m going to keep a close "watch" on this one

I read post 5712 pointing out the 21ema on the gbpusd weekly. http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...41#post1491741
So a break to the down side could find support on the weekly 21ema. Well with in the (WAR) weekly average range of 244 pips which there is 60% statistical probability (SP) of the gbpusd ranging 240 pips between the high and low for the week.

AudJpy- Nice pin off of long term 50fib of 98.13 next resistance level to break 38.2 fib which is the Thursday close and S/R 100.39. Which served as a resistance level from April 16 to a break on June 1 . Then it was support from July 27 until last Friday’s break. Next major S/R on the upside is 102.86 on the down side the 50 fib of 98.13. Bias Looking for a break on the up side.

Did not seem like any of the daily pins were tradeable. None of them really closed in the upper or lower 10% or say the upper or lower 10 to 20 pips.
something told me that pesky kiwi/yen was looking for trouble
From my perspective there is only one decent looking PIN today, the EUR/AUD

Things i like about this one is it is

  1. Matches my 35% Rule
  2. with the current up trend
  3. Open and Close is above the 150ema
  4. Tail has bounced of the trend line

After all the plunging going short, the EUR/USD looks like it is showing some signs of exhaustion.

I Like this ones cause:

  1. Matches my 35% rule.
  2. Bounced off the oldest upward trend line since the uptrend began.
  3. Comes at the end of a long run.
