Before I make any changes or additions to an EA I like to see some History of how the idea would have helped with the trades and would have made the EA more profitable.

It doesn't make any sense to keep adding filters to an EA if it can't be shown on the more than one chart where the filter would have helped the EA make a better decission.

In the case of the the River EA I believe we should stick with the basic River Break as the foundation with Neal's original settings, and then either aggressive or non aggressive on the break of the river....
i reviewed my trades from last week on EUR/USD and i saw that i put 2am as start time instead of 3am which is LONDON open for me and if you see my post with my trades there is 2 trades that we're losses -26 & -32 if it wasn't for that mistake i would of broken even

Now i put the RB-Renko v5 with your settings from London Open till London Close + 3 hrs extra

and i added the CCI 34 with 100 levels and ichimoku 2-3-8 for viewing purposes

Don't forget Practice + Patience + Persistence = Profits

Hi, Everyone!
Has anybody tried Tricolour System(link below) on Renko Bars?
There's is quiet good amount of entries, however, not 100% profitable.
Maybe trailing stop could improve system or any other filter.
I suggest using only one stohastic instead of two. What do you think dear fellows of this thread?

since we are basically working with moving averages , so sell or buy confirmation

we should use the 50 LWMA Price_close ( linear weighted moving average ) instead of the present 200 sma

so we can tweak the rule as band brk with LWMA Syncing we go long or short and we put the sl 5 pips below the LMWA.

this small tweak will improve the performance. 50 LMWA generally runs for a long period of time so we should be getting 4 -5 candles for each of our brk .
RB_Renko_v6 will be posted on the first page shortly, here is what has been added.

1) You can now change the BandsPeriod and Bandsdeviations under the filter settings. If you have the Bands indicator on your chart make sure you set it so it matches your EA settings as the EA does not adjust the indicator settings on your chart.
2) The MAperiod and MAtype can now be set under the filter settings. If the previous closed candle closes above this MA it is a long signal, if the candle closes below this MA it is a short signal.
3) I have added the CCI filter with the CCItrigger and CCIperiod being settable in the filter settings.
4) Under the Partial Close settings you can now select if you want the Broker Stop Loss to be moved to BE for the remaing lots if you want by setting "AtPCmoveSLtoBE = true". Be sure to set BEJS accordingly if used so they do not conflict.

Thanks for the Updates, good additions that will help greatly

this week i had issues with v5 so i kept v5 on EUR/JPY only and i put the ToolBox v1.09 on EUR/USD last night (Since i like all the options available) and it did nice 4 trades with a 61 pips profit and my loss was a -2 pips in less than 24 hours, this can be seen in my Trade Explorer

Hi all,

Apologies for the wall of text!

Had some internet problems on Mon 30th, so ran v5 with the attached set (rbv5 settings.txt) from Tue 31st to Fri 3rd...

Let it run for 24 hours a day with no intervention on the following pairs:

AUDUSD, EURGBP, EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY - these are my default test pairs - first five pairs with lowest spread on my broker.

Overall, gained 487 pips from 31 trades (22 winners @ +778 pips, and 9 losers @ -291 pips).

Profit looks like this:
AUDUSD £9.46
EURGBP £11.41
EURUSD £10.51
GBPUSD -£6.47
USDJPY -£9.97
Total £14.94

Based on an earlier post by Seller9, I then looked at what happened if I'd only traded London hours. Taking out the 'out-of-hours' trades I got this:

Gain of 466 pips from 21 trades (17 winners @ +599 pips, and 4 losers @ - 133 pips)

Profit looks like this:
AUDUSD £5.69
EURGBP £11.41
EURUSD £6.10
GBPUSD £2.27
Total £25.47

Next week I will be:
1. Running the EA in London hours only
2. Remove USDJPY from pairs (had losses with this one with RB_v2 as well)
3. Add EURJPY (as Seller9 has success with this pair)

Any recommendations for additional testing pairs will be gratefully received!

I will report back with analysis next week on the new setup.

Will give it a shot, here is a preliminary test EA that just took a trade, will see what happens.

It may be a candle late or so as I just turned it on.

Guys, if any of you can help me and have litle patience, I try to load de RB_RENKO V5 OR V6, I follow all the instructions from the firs page...
1) Open chart of desired pair.
2) Set to M1 time frame.
3) Attach “Plain_M1” template.
4) Hold down “Page Up” key until chart stops updating. Then turn scrolling back on.
5) Attach “range_bars.tpl” template to this M1 chart and set up the “RenkoLiveChart_v3.4” EA as shown. You need ticks coming in to produce the offline chart, or a program to simulate ticks.
6) Under file menu select “Open Offline” and find the M2 offline chart you just created.
7) Double click it to open it and attach the “rb_renko_v4” template to it.
8) Set the EA settings to what you want.
9) There should be 2 chart tabs for each pair you are watching, the M1 time based chart and the M2 offline Range Bar based chart. Keep both of these running and also don’t change the M1 to any other time frame.

how I change time frame if I whant to use de EA in other time frame?
how do a change the version to RB_RENKOV6 or V5?
renkolivechart v3.4 for 1min and rb_renko v4 for 2min chart? is that ok?
